Singer sewing machine pulls fabric and snarls

try changing the needle--make sure the needle is the right one for the
fabric being sewed.
rethread the machine using every thread guide
try turning the bobbin the opposite direction
clean under the needle plate and in the bobbin area for lint
you may also have to use a washable stabilizer with the fabric

I cant get the needle to catch the bobbin thread. I just received the machine, i might not be doing it write? any suggestions

This has to be done by hand.
Raise the presser foot, then thread all the way down to the needle. Put in the full bobbin with thread end loose and visible. Hold the end of the thread in the needle with one hand and carefully turn the wheel so that the needle lowers and lifts the bobbin thread. Place both threads behind the presser foot. Now you can sew.

Just started to tangle up and jam up not letting needle to go down making a metal noise followed by jaming noise

Sounds very like a bent needle or jammed bobbin case. have you cleared any broken threads or replaced needle? Lift the needle plate and check under that too.

The thread from the needle keeps breaking

rethread the machine
check the top tension-try 3 or 4
change needle & make sure the needle is inserted correctly

some time the needle & thread don't work togeather--try this
Cut 6-8 inch piece of thread of the spool you are going to use for your project
Take the needle you are going to use for the project
& insert the thread thru the eye of the needle
& lift one end of the thread to a 45 degree angle
& if the needle is the right size for the thread it will slide down the thread
But if the needle hangs on the thread you need one size larger needle for the thread

Why is my machine breaking my top thread

check needle to see if it's damaged
rethread the machine
check top thread tension
the needle & thread may not be compatable here's how to check
cut a 6-8 inch piece of thread that your going to sew with, take the needle your going to sew with either from the machine or package
insert the thread into the eye of needle & lift one end of the thread up to a 45 degree angle & see if the needle will slide down the the thread,,if it slides easily it will work with the thread,,if it hangs on the thread,, use a one size larger needle

Trying to sew tab tops on a thick curtain which is lined have got a larger needle and decreased tension but its not working help Using a Brother x3600 sewing machine

Put the tension back to the normal setting - around 4.

Lengthen the stitch to accommodate the multi layers.

When you are sewing and come to a thicker section, stop with the needle down, lift the presser foot and place a folded scrap of fabric under the back of the foot to keep it even. Lower the presser foot and continue sewing.

Needle won't take up bobbin

Make sure the needle is inserted with the flat side toward the back of the machine.

Lift the presser foot and then re-thread the machine.

Hand walk the needle down and back up while holding onto the end of the thread at the needle, then pull the bobbin thread up and along with the top thread, pull under the presser and to the back of the machine
