Re: custom soundtracks

It's amazing how great music can enhance any game, particularly action games. As the movie industry has known for about a century, music can make a bad video experience seem a lot better. Xbox is the only video game device that lets you add your own custom soundtracks to your favorite games. Here's how: Insert an audio CD into the Xbox optical drive. Access the Music menu from the Xbox dashboard display. Select Music > Audio CD > Copy, then choose the Copy menu. Select the tracks you want, using Play or Pause commands to audition songs. Choose Copy, and Xbox will store the songs on the hard disk. Then insert your game disc and load the songs using the game's setup menu. P.s Not all Xbox games support the custom soundtrack features, but many of the most popular ones do.

Can i downgrade my psp from ver 6.37

It depends on which motherboard version your PSP has. If it has a compatible motherboard, you are able to downgrade and install custom firmware. You will, however, need someone with a psp already running custom firmware to create what is called a "Pandora's Battery". A guide on how to do this can be found here: http://forums.psp-hacks.com/f133/the-hack-your-psp-mega-thread-t227349/#post1084294

I hope this helped!

I can turn it on but only a silver screen comes up and then i can't turn it off.

sounds like you have bricked firmware. Try this and it could save you having to send it back.

Create a Magic MS using this guide: guide
Create a Pandora Battery using this guide: guide2
On the bricked PSP, insert the Magic MemoryStick and then the PandoraBattery. All lights will light up for a few seconds.
Press X on the PSP to install 3.71 Custom firmware.
Wait until the custom firmware is installed. The PSP will shutdown automatically.

That should fix the problem (you may lose personal settings stored in the PSP so make sure everything is backed up.

Downgrading my psp 5.51 to 3.70 m33

Sorry Ryan, you will need a service or pandora battery to reload custom firmware.

This will let you back up games you already own and run them from the memory stick.

You can create a pandora battery and the 'magic' memory stick from any psp already running custom firmware. You can also buy them online, and if you look in the local classified ads website where you live, you can probably find people offering that downgrading service.

I cannot run through the steps here to create your own, but tutorials are all over the net and sites like youtube.

My psp don't have Iso folder

After you install custom firmware you need to format the memory stick from the psp that will solve your problem. Remember if you format it all the data will be deleted so make sure to back up.

Custom music for GTA L.C.S.

1) Download the Codemasters utility - ftp://downloads.codemasters.com/upgrade/Codemasters_EACSetup.zip
2) Make sure you have a game save for GTA on your PSP memory disk
3) Install the Codemasters utility on your PC
4) Connect the PSP to your PC in USB mode.
5) Goto the folder PSP and then SAVEDATA - look for the name of your GTA gamesave folder. For me it was ULES00151S0
6) Now you need to create a new folder in SAVEDATA that holds the custom soundtracks. Using the name of the game save folder remove the final S0 and add CUSTOMTRACKS - create a folder using this name. So for me my GTA music folder is called ULES00151CUSTOMTRACKS. Note that is a new folder - NOT the game folder renamed. For Vice City name the folder ULES00502CUSTOMTRACKS.
7) Fire up the Codemasters utility on the PC, select mp3’s from the hard disk or a music CD, select the custom tracks folder created above and convert your music.
icon_cool.gif Once converted, goto the custom tracks folder and rename all the files from *.toc to *.gta
9) Fire up GTA, select custom soundtrack in audio options and enjoy your own music.
