Bosch excell still wont fill?

My machine is baffling me. I am an engineer but not a dishwasher one. I cant understand the float switch arrangement. I have worked out that as the machine starts, water appears in the base and lifts the polystyrene disc tripping the floatswitch and have no idea as to where the water is coming from as I cant get to anything other than the side panel stuff. Fixing the leak will be easy I guess but finding it is impossible. To add I fool the machine by dropping the float but it still hangs and no water comes in, the solenoid is good. Is there another float switch somewhere else. I gotta beat this thing!

Without being hands on there is a web site than you can go to and it will give you the diagram for your particular model. however your float is connected to a micro switch if the switch is not set right you will continue to have this problem.. here is the link you can go to www.safemanuals.com the manuals are free to download. good luck and please rate this...thanks

There is a water level switch, that controls water level and stop the flow. If it is jammed or faulty the machine won't fill.
Post here the model number for your appliance, so that I can find the part list and exploded view.

Dishwasher wont fill

The float is located just inside the door either on the left or right hand side, it's a simple float, if it's stuck in the fill position then try a gentle push to release it, and make sure nothing is under the float causing it to stick in the filled position.

Bosch dishwasher does not fill with water

Hi

When the Dishwasher won't fill you'll need to check for the water inlet hose, the water inlet valve and the float switch assembly. When the water fills your dishwasher, a float rises along with it. As the float reaches a certain threshold level, it shuts off the flow of water, thereby preventing a leak. Sometimes the float can get stuck in the wrong position in your dishwasher, and it can prevent your dishwasher from filling. Sometimes it can happen due to float valve and on other occasions due to float switch. Inspect the water hose coming to the dishwasher for any blockages. If the hose is not clogged then check the water inlet valve for any clogs, if the water will not even fill for few seconds then certainly the water inlet valve is bad and should be replaced. You can also use a multimeter to check continuity on inlet valve. If you don't get any value on the multimeter then you'll need to replace the water inlet valve assembly. However, if the valve is fine then the float switch assembly should be replaced. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

AQUA SENSOR BOSCH DISHWASHER NOT FILLING WITH WATER

Hi, if your dishwasher is not filling with water, check the Water-inlet Valve and Float Switch
The water-inlet valve lets water enter the machine. If this valve is defective, you need to completely replace it. It's usually located behind the lower access panel on the left or right side. It's the device with the main water line (usually copper) from the house, a rubber tube to the dishwasher, and two wires attached to it.
The float switch is a small electrical switch that's located right below the dishwasher "floor." Above the switch, on the inside of the dishwasher, is a plastic cylinder that floats up as water fills the dishwasher. If this switch is defective, or if the plastic float gets caught or trapped in the raised position, the water can't enter the dishwasher. If the float switch is defective, you need to replace it.

Machine is not filling and making a hissing noise

Hi

When the Dishwasher is not filling in, you'll need to check for the water inlet valve, the filter screen and the float switch/assembly. Also check for the float assembly inside the dishwasher. When water is filling your dishwasher, a float rises along with it.
If these are fine then it's due to Water Inlet Valve. Use a multimeter and check for the continuity on inlet valve. If you don't get any value on the multimeter then you'll need to replace the water inlet valve assembly. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

No fill - drain pump running - I assume stuck float switch

remove the bottom plate of the dishwasher and the bottom pan is revealed. reason the drain pump is running will be that this pan has water in it ie you have a leak. mop out the water and dishwasher will work - switch off mains when you do this

Bosch Dishwasher not letting in water

The float switch may be stuck in the up position which shuts the fill solonoid valve off. you should be able to find the float switch under the lower dish basket.
