Question about Dell Computers & Internet
This isn't something to get overly concerned with. Most likely it's just the battery, and not a problem with the machine. Batteries are funny. I own a small computer shop, and we specialize in laptops, so I've seen many batteries (with laptop attached) come through. The thing about batteries is that, although they may be the exact same make and model, they will have different characteristics, and no two batteries will be the same. I've had batteries that held a great charge, and would hold a charge for 3 to 4 hours, but only had a life of about 8 months before replacement. Then I've had batteries that will only hold a charge for approx 45 minutes, but lasted 2 or 3 years before replacement. I'm going to say that you just have a weak battery, and suggest that you purchase another to use on a regular basis, and keep this one for a back up (or vice versa). I think it's always a good idea to keep a back up battery.
