Hello there,
You have to take off the memory card and inspect the sides and look for a small switch. You have to move it the other way around to disable the write-protect setting.
Good luck!

I have Panasonic DMC-ZS6 Lumix w/4gb memory card - has worked fine until today- now window says

SD/SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

I have a panasonic DMC-f3 digital camera and when i turnede it on today it came up with "This memory card is write-protected" on the screen. What does this mean?

It's the memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

If that doesn't work, try another card.

Memory card locked

There is a switch on the SD memory card, slide the switch to unlock position before you insert the card into your camera.
