The way that cartridge works is by a fuse. When you first install it the printer calibrates itself to the new cartridge and blows the fuse.
look for a blown fuse in your fax. A lot of times you can buy replacement fuses at a local electronic or hardware store and they're easy to replace.
Anyway, if the printer senses an improper toner/developer balance it will default to XXXX copies and give you the message. You can to reset the machine - this might help.
