Question about Cameras

Vivitar DVD 560G

I have plugged the camera into the charger. The LCD light is red. I have tried to charge for 4 hours and still, the light is red and the camera will not turn on. Any trouble shooting ideas. I have never used the camera , which was a Christmas present.

How do i know my vivitar camera X029 is charging? because when i plug it into the charger the red light sometimes doesn't come one.

you may have a bad charger connection at the camera, try wigglig it when you plug it in and see if the red light comes on. this problem is difficutt to fix, and expensive. If the light comes on and off while you are wiggling the cable near the camea, then that is your problem

How do i charge my vivitar camara

You can charge the battery for the ViviCam 8025 in two ways.

Connect the camera to a powered USB port. The red LED will be on while charging, and go off when it's charged.

Take the battery out of the camera, put it into the supplied charger, and plug the charger into a wall outlet.

I cant find my charger and software for vivitar 8025. Is this something I can buy online separate? Does USB cord charge camera if plugged into pc?

Hello,

The USB cable does charge the battery if plugged into pc.
The red LED will light while charging and go off when the battery is charged.
I cannot find any options to buy the software online but the Support email is: support@vivitar.com

Hope this helps.

Is my camera charging when plugged in with usb cord it has a blue screen and says MSDC?

The charge light on the back of the camera will light red while charging and go out when fully charged. Your camera should have also come with a separate battery charger if the above method doesn't work.

I have been charging my vivitar vivicam for probably over 24 hours and it still does'nt work.

Your problem is likely either the charger or a battery that's too worn out to take a charge. A constant red light on the charger indicates that the battery is charging, and a green light indicates that the charge is complete. If the green light never comes on, that's a good indication that the battery is beyond charging. If you have a voltmeter you can check the charger output and the battery voltage. Unfortunately your camera uses a special battery so there's no way to test the charger with another battery or to test the battery in another use. Replacing the battery, especially if it's more than a year old, is your best bet.

Battery level

As Suzaku explained:
A battery icon will show up on the LCD screen of your camera when it is already low and needs recharging. It can be found at the lower right side of your LCD screen. The ready light of your camera will also blink red and your camera will turn off if the battery is exhausted.
NOTE:
The icon will not appear if the batery is sufficient and there is no TECH way of making the icon show until the batt needs charging.

How do I recharge my vivitar DVR 560g. I tried plugging it in via my phone charger - but no go.

I believe your camera has a charger included. when you bought it. Battery type is li-ion battery (NP-40). You'll just need to remove the battery off the camera and plug it to the charger kit that came with it. Hope this helps :-)
