Question about ECM Giotto Espresso Machine

Pressure and temperature go too high

My machine pressure overshoots to 2.5 bar or more. I took off the lid and unplugged and re-plugged all the push on connectors (cleaning contacts) this may have fixed the problem or it may have been a coincidence that the problem went away, but now it is back.

Anybody else have this problem and found a solution?

I heard my Giotto making loud noises from the next room twice in the last week. The pressure was way up, around 2.5. I poured off some hot water and it came down but I am concerned what might have happened if I didn't hear it!

I replaced the pressurestat with a Sirai one which is supposed to be much more reliable than the original. That did it.

Model 60-7000M. All works except foot rest. It will not close. Help!

Not sure what you mean by foot "rest." If it is presser foot, then you may not have the correct presser foot for your machine (basically, there are 3 types--low shank, high shank, & slant shank). Usually, there is also a pressure adjustment for the presser foot that increases the amount of pressure applied to the fabric and feed dogs. Consult your owner manual. Pressure adjustment is usually either a dial, a plunger type on the top left of the machine (pushing down increases the pressure--push down on the outer ring to release it), or a screw at the very top of the presser foot bar (sometimes under the top lid).

My cabrio washer won't unlock lid, dU error, can see a piece of clothing that is stuck through the glass lid, what do I do?

Sounds like the clothing is creating too much pressure on the door and giving you a door lock error. Unplug the wash machine and wait a few minutes, then, while pushing in on the door to overcome the pressure caused by the stuck article of clothing, have someone plug the unit back in. If you've done it right and pushed hard enough, the latch should unlatch.

How do i unlock my pressure cooker lid? its off the base

Probably it was put away with dirty valves and the pressure signal is still up preventing you from opening the lid. Simply use a toothpick to push down the metal bar that sticks up from the lid, then twist and open!

What are the benefits of using a pressure cooker?

Cooking foods in a pot with no lid and boiling them for ages destroys a lot of the nutrients in the food. Pressure cookers allow you to cook at very high temperatures for a much shorter amount of time and with a sealed lid, so there is no leaking of the vitamins etc in the food.

Most people find that cooking in the pressure cooking also produces really tender results - similar to braising.

SSR-EP75 Ingersoll Rand SERIAL # F15525U95286 320 CFM i CONTINUE TO ADD OIL GOES OUT ON HIGH AIREND TEMP. SOMEONE TOLD ME THERE WAS AN ADJUSTMENT FOR THIS. CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT TO...

Mike, an EP 75 Should not use more than 3 to 5 parts per million of oil. Your oil issue sounds like you have a separator that needs replacing or a plugged scavenge line. The separator is located in the oil tank. the scavenge line and orifice come from the bottom of the separator filter to and Thur the oil tank lid. then to the air end. In this line approx. 1ft from the lid should be the orifice. make sure its clean. your high air end temp can be from several different problems. 1- low oil level from separator or scavenge line plugged. 2- A plugged oil cooler. Dirt and debris pushed against the cooler by the the cooling fan. This needs to be cleaned using a pressure washer. Wash in the opposite direction of air flow. Be careful with the pressure washer. You can damage the cooler. Low oil level and dirty coolers are the most common problems when getting high air end discharge temp shutdowns. However you could also have a bad thermal valve located where the three cooler lines come together. you will have to remove one line and 4 bolts. inside is the thermal element. You may also have a bad HAT switch (high air end temperature). It is located in the end of the air end and simply unscrews. I do not know of any adjustment.

Oh no, you have bought a "Runyes" Chinese unit. "Run - Yes" is the best option. Sell it & buy something better.
But, E4 is to do with Temp or Pressure not right.
"

Code E4:constant temperature and constant pressure failed.

(the chamber pressure tolerance is greater than 0.25bar or temperature tolerance greater than 2.5?)

Solution:

A. please check if you can open the solenoid valve which the steam gets into.

B. please refer to E2 process
---------------------
For E2 try:

Code E2:Chamber overpressure

(The chamber pressure is above 2.4 bar for longer than 2 seconds)

Solution:

A. Please check when the pressure rises, the chamber inner temperature will also rise up. If not or rise up very slowly, then you should check the inner temperature sensor, please refer to E1-C1 process.

B. The chamber keep vacuum pressure, the vacuum pressure will be -0.7 bar within 4 minutes under normally room temperature, and it will above 0.1 bar within 5 minutes if the pressure do not leak out, otherwise, you should check the chamber cover, solenoid valve, safety valve, vacuum pump, connector welded points, till you find the problems where and why the pressure leak out, then solve the problems if you find it.

C. During the machine normally working cycle, please observe if the machine vacuum could be lower than -0.6 bar, even lower than -0.7 bar if the machine is still cold.

D. Adjust the chamber cover and tighten a little if necessary.

E. When you run a cycle for the first time with a packed or non packed instruments and it comes up with E2, please don't worry. It will not come out with the E2 alarm again when you run it the second time.

Just acquired a model 6700 from Mom never used, is

Hi! Almost certainly! If I can find parts (and I can) for my turn-of the-last century-treadle machines, you'll be able to find parts for your Necchi. Here are a couple of good web sites for sewing machine parts. If you don't see what you need, you can email them and ask.
http://www.statewidesewing.com/#FAQ
http://sewingstyle.com/

That's for more specialized parts--needles, bobbins, and pressure feet are readily available for amost any machine. You just need to know what class of bobbin your machine uses (check your manual) and if you machine has a low shank, high shank, slant shank, or uses snap-on pressure feet. Your manual should say, but if it does, look at the machine. If there's about 1/2" clearance between the pressure foot and the throat plate, it's a low shank. High than that, it's a high shank. Slant shank machines have a definite forward slant to the shank of the pressure foot; they're pretty distinctive. Snap-on pressure feet have a little bar--you lower the pressure bar onto them and they snap in place. The snap-on unit can be removed (at least it can in the machines I own)--look for a thumbscrew on the side of the pressure bar--and with that off, they can use most low-shank feet.
I'm a fan of older machines!
Hope this helps!
Robbie
