Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My projector is coming up with two red lights. I have cleaned the filter and the lamp, the lamp is lit but nothing is projecting? Help, do I need to replace the projector?

Which lights are red, Power, lamp or temperature?
Does the menu not come up at all. What about the startup logo etc.
I'm assuming the lamp has not exceeded 2000hrs useage, when it will shut off automatically.

To replace a bulb in the Hitachi CP-S235 LCD Projector, do I just unscrew the two screws under the plate underneath the machine? Are there any precautions I should take, like not handling the bulb? I have...

Yes to replace the lamp you need to remove the 2 screws. You can touch the lamp but I try not to. After the lamp is in you need to reset the hr timer for the lamp. to do this you need to look in manual on page 34.
If you do not have the manual you can get it here at link below.

Good luck

Picture settings

You should go to the menu and look for the "Mirror" settings, change the vertical to bring it rightside up, however if it is also backwards (horizontally) change the horizontal "Mirror" there is an option of turning on either both or each separate option. I assume though that you will probably just have to change the setting to H&V Mirror.

The change filter light keeps coming on

In the manual, it says you have to go in the menu to the OPTION submenu. Go down to FILTER TIME and hold the right arrow down for 3 seconds. It will then go into a mini-submenu that, when you press the up arrow, will reset the filter time to 0. The key is to hold down the right arrow initially for THREE+ SECONDS to get into the reset filter time menu. This is NOT the submenu that has RESET - EXECUTE. That is a different thing that doesn't reset filter & lamp time.

Here's the manual online:

Did you clean the air filter? You should vacuum it or use an air dusting can to clean it out.

Afterwards, reset the time in the menu. In the manual, it says you have to go in the menu to the OPTION submenu. Go down to FILTER TIME and hold the right arrow down for 3 seconds. It will then go into a mini-submenu that, when you press the up arrow, will reset the filter time to 0. CP-S335 popping noise when powering on

Hi Eva

A Projector does'nt like being switched on and off all the time , if you are going to watch a couple of movies - rather leave the machine running all the time - this will also help you to get more hours out of your lamp - and that's a promise.

As far as the noise is concerned - it is most probably just the machine that was not cooled down properly at that stage.

Hitachi cp-s235 projector- red lights and projector turns off

There is a small tab on the lamp cover that should press into an "L" shaped slot on the lamp housing. This tab may break off, and not press into slot far enough to make the lamp dectection switch click. When the lamp heats up, the plastics expand and the detection switch opens. The projector quits as if no lamp is installed. The fix is to make an extension for the tab. I cut a small piece of sheet metal and crazy-glued it to what was left of the plasic tab.
