Question about HP Compaq nx5000 Notebook
Try to check the device manager.
by right clicking my computer, then hardware tab, device manager.
on the device manager check for the usb drivers if they are installed properly, if there is a problem you will see a yellow exclamation point on the usb.
try also to check for the updated drivers for the usb controllers on your laptop.
