I need Remote Control Program Code for Polaroid FDM-0715 UTC 7" LCD TV/DVD for new HDTV Converter Box Remote. I have tried all furnished codes using two different remote controls - as well as a Universal Remote. The codes which did not work are: Polaroid; 053, 192 and Prima; 191, 258, 260, 275. My converter boxes are RCA DTA800B1. Both units work with other TV sets with their correct codes so converter boxes and controls are not at fault. Thanks

Does the set have a earphone jack? if dirty or damaged it will cut the TV sound out---about the only other possible reason is a audio problem in the TV itself---if possible put ear up to speaker to see if any sound or buzz is heard.
TruTech is made by Daewoo. I entered Daewoo codes from my digital converter box list. The sixth code I tried made it work (140 for an RCA converter box). Now the Converter box remote will control volume and power on my Trutech DW19. Regards, tmjl.....
Don't know that it's worth the money, but here's a source for a
replacement inverter board (powers the fluorescent tube back light that
provides 'brightness'). Manufacturer/designers of screen and back light
power circuit, not Polaroid, are at fault . Screen and back light are
used in equipment made by others as well, and all suffer same design
I just bought a 32" dynex lcd and saw that i couldn't program my two $5 ge remotes to work it. From reading in this forum and others I'm not the only one with the problem, I thought I was stuck with only the dynex remote. But the dynex website tells you how to get universal remotes to work,
It tells you to try the codes for Orion, Emerson, Memorex, Sansui, Sylvania, Zenith. The second orion code worked for me. both my ge remotes look and work the same but one uses a four digit code and the other uses a three digit code. I used 0135 on one and 135 on the other. There is a good chance that if you try the codes for the brands dynex lists you will find one that works. The 0135 or 135 might work for most dynex tv's.
If you have a ge remote and haven't programmed it for volume punch through you might try it. It allows the tv volume to be controlled using the ge remote even when it's set to something other than tv.
