How to fix dirty copy in np7250

You better upload an image, because there are many kinds of "dirty copy". Also you'll need to check the counters to see if is not the time to replace Developer Unit or Fixing Unit. Check the surface of the Pressure Roller and Heater Roller in the Fixing Unit., also check the surface of Developer Roller if the are scratches or other kind of damage on them. In some cases you need only to clean the printer inside with vacuum cleaner. Be careful not to produce any damage to the printer components. Do not touch Drum surface or Developer roller.

The waste ink absorber is full

I am told that this will reset your counter and eliminate the full absorber warning that you are getting.

Cleaning the pads is messy, sending the printer to Canon is expensive,

I used a simular reset code for my MP470 and haven't had any problems.

1. To clean physical pads:
Open cover (as if replacing ink cartridge).
Locate waste ink pads, they are far right under cartridge slider.
Pry up waste ink pads (inky, might want to wear gloves).
Rinse pads in sink or with alcohol, dry.
Replace pads. Make sure pads are fully seated.

2. To reset waste ink counter:
Press Menu-Scan-Copy-Scan to enter service menu.
Use arrow keys to scroll to "Service menu counter access".
Press OK.
Use arrow keys to scroll to "ABS-M DOT COUNT"
Press Copy.
Use arrow keys to reset count to zero.
Press OK.
Press Stop/Reset.

Poor copy quality - smudgy copies - changed toner - still the same.

check your OPC drum life, if you have a poor quality with a new cartridge installed (light copy, dirty copy) the opc drum must be replaced, check you machine counter if you have reach 100k copies you need to replace the drum, if you are using a new OPC DRUM, you need to clean the machine, you have to call for service because there is many parts that muat removed to clean properly.

Copies are shaded and have a solid black line down

Is this an analog or digital copier?
Multiple things could cause what you describe.
To answer your question rubber rollers can be cleaned with soap and water and a damp cloth.
Hot rollers cannot be cleaned and should be replaced as the teflon coating has failed.
Organic drums should not be cleaned with a cleaner but just a clean dry cloth.

I would look at your mirrors(under the glass) if there is dust on them it will darken your copies and could cause lines.

If it is digital print out a counter if it is a good print the your problem is dirty mirrors and / glass

Aficio MP1600 - Black Lines are appearing on all copies. One line appears on the ADF copy but muliple lines if using the scanner. I have tried to clean with a damp cloth everything possible, no good..What...

Try to print from the machine, such as function list or counter list. If no lines, then confirm the ADF scanning mirror dirty. If got lines, the probably came from fuser unit or drum unit.

Lines on copy

If using feeder, u need to check whether scanning mirror is dirty or not.
To identify drum problem, u can print out function list or total counter from the machine or check whether lines appear on the drum.
If drum is not seriously worn out, u can use solutions such as Mr. Mckenic Contact Cleaner to clean the drum.
If still cannot, u have no choice except replace the drum...

I'm sorry to tell you, this is likely a drum issue.

You probably need to have a certified engineer examine the machine.

Have you tried speaking with the local service center to see if they have experienced similar issues? It might be free information.

Erik.
