Dell 922 All-In-One printer will not communicate

I have Windows XP with all upgrades. My Dell 922 All-In-One printer will not communicate with my computer.

    My printer 922 doesn't communicate with my 'puter. Dell sent me a bogus link to download the driver (to which I replied with an angry email because they wanted me to pay for the correct link.) Is there any website out there that will get my printer working?

    The new software for MS and the Dell creates problems of it will not communicate when attempting to print.

    I have the same problem. Ever since I downloaded the newest driver from Windows Update, it has not been working. I tried the Dell website with the AIO 922 driver, but it is not accepted by Microsoft Windows, so I am back where I started from. Please help someone!!!! I can't print anything which makes what I need to do useless. This is most frustrating!!!!!!!!

    I down loadede and installed the updated driver for my dell AIO 922 from windows update and now my printer fails to work on both of my computers. Can anyone help?

    I recently came across this issue as well. I have been using this printer for about 3 years with MS Office XP without any issues until recently. When I send any document to the printer, it simple stays in the que saying that it is printing, however nothing happens and it usually slows or locks up my system.

    I have all Microsoft updates and the same thing happened to me as to other posters, that is, after having no complaints (in fact the AIO 922 printer worked very well) for about 2 years, the printer just stopped working. The computer queue says a print job has been sent...and then the message that the computer cannot communicate with my printer. Any ideas???

    I have the same problem. The printer had been working fine for two years until yesterday and now it says it is not communicating. I changed USB cables, but it did not work.

    I uninstalled the printer and then reinstalled it.
    It will print but I always receive an error message but
    once i press Ok it will print like nothings wrong.

    i have the same problem with the same printer it says printer cannot communicate then it will say drivers not installed the printer worked fine and it just stopped did anyone find a way to fix this problem

    Downloaded the newest driver from windows update and now won't print. will scan image to PC and will photocopy but will not print from PC as it says there is a communication problem yet it will upload a scanned image from it.

    Have unistalled my AIO922 and installed and now it does not recognize my printer. I installed a download sent to me by microsoft stating that I had an internal problem and downloaded the fix and it really screwed things up. I need to know whaat to do to get my computer to recognize my printer.

Usually, just upgrading the printer driver to whatever operating system is running will fix the problem. Hope this helps!

Updated to Windows Vista and now the Dell 922 AIO scanner won't work

I assume the old computer was not Vista
This site has the vista 32bit driver
for Dell 922 AIO

Just got Windows 7 and I now cannot connect my Dell AIO 922. I think it is either a compatibility issue or a driver issue. I have tried installing it from the disk, but it only gets so far and nthen...

Hi Phil,

The problem is Dell 922 InkJet will not suppot Windows 7.
The drivers they provide are only meant for Windows 200/XP/Vista.

You can check it from Dell Driver Page.

My Dell 922 AIO can't communicate with my computer, but only after updating from Windows updates. Before the update, there was an error message about dlbtjswx.exe. Any suggestions?

I just spent hours last week on this for my home computer... until I came across a fix on another thread. There is a 922AIO patch in the drivers section on Dell's website (I couldn't get the US patch to download correct so I ended up using the patch from the Dutch section of Dell's site - sounds goofy, but it worked!). The patch is for Vista, but it fixed my XP machine. Hope this helps you, it worked for me after much frustration in trying to find a solution.

********If u have installed the drivers from the old printer cd (used for windows xp ) ..on to ur vista os ,,,then we have some real problem and could take time but can be fixed *****
If u have not installed any of printer drivers …then u should be able to print (cannot scan ) , jus as connect the usb cable to the pc and ur firewall or comp settings may be blocking the communication . *********replay to me and I will help further********

Dell 922 printer will not print on the lines of lables

My dell photo aio 922 says there a communication problem and i try to print i do everything it tells me to do for exaple recconect the usb restart computer and try and take the printer plug out but still i am haveing the same problem

Aio 922 power light constantly blinks on and off, will not turn on/off or communicate with computer.

Try to unplug the power cable as well as the USB cable of your printer for few minutes. Then plug it back in, check the lights again.

Use with vista and XP

yes you need to download windows vista printer driver for dell 922 on the laptop for your desktop leave it as it is.

Get on web and search printer drivers for dell 922 windows vista install on laptop and youre done

Dell 922 Printer

You will have to use the New Dell 922 VISTA drivers and not the XP drivers in order for it to work with your Vista Loaded PC. The new drivers for the 922 under Vista are available for download at Dells website. Check out this link Hope this helps.
