Question about Televison & Video
Durabrand TV Remote device.....to change to a 2 digit station (24 for example) I have to first press the button with dotted lines and a slash through it. Otherwise, when I select change 24 it always goes to channel 2, not 24. I can of course scrool up or down one channel at a time. I hate having to do this and want to use a universal remote because it has much larger numbers and buttons than the Durabrand remote which came with the TV. When I select a 2 digit number (24) on the unversal remote it always goes to channel 2 just like the Durabrand TV remote. How do I use the universal remote to select 2 digit channels such as 24? The universal remote is a Phillips, SRU2103WM/17.
The button on the remote next to 0 and below 9 has to be depressed to _ _ before you select any 2 digit channels. I had the same problem and accidently figured it out. Hope it helps. TC

I'm assuming that the buttons on the case are working - in that case the fault is in the remote - the button pads have worn out or are out of place. You should try fixing it: open the remote (a screw and some clips on the periphery) take the rubber pad off and clean it thoroughly ; then wipe very carefully the board of the remote - use alcohol for that; wait for everything to be fully dried and reassemble the remote. If after that the buttons still don't work then you need a new one.
