If you have a disc for it, reinstall it.

That is a general printer error. Ensure that the cables are properly connected; you need to ensure that your printer is properly connected, and plugged in, and also the cable is accurately connected to the computer as well. Check the power; make sure that the printer's power is switched on, ensure that all the computer necessary computer components are also turned on. Make sure that the hardware is properly plugged in.

Hi Daniel, I just had a quick look and other people here have posted problems regarding error code 300 on the MX850. Take a look here when you get a minute to see if any of the solutions posted help you out at all. It's a long shot as this link is for Apple users but it might point you in a direction you hadn't yet tried. All the best.

Try switch of computer and printer if not in printer list of printers. Unplug usb cable and start computer without computer connected. Them switch off computer again and plug in usb cable and then restart and after started switch on printer and Windows should find printer as a new connection and then you may need your driver disc to reset up.

my printer is ofline but every thing is connected to pc

I had the same problem. I had moved my printer and when I hooked it all back up, there was an annoying clicking sound, the "in use/memory" light was flashing and there was no communication with my pc.

This is a tad embarassing, but if it helps someone, so be it lol. I had plugged everything in without looking.... my usb cable was plugged into the phone jack >.<.

Check all your connections.... then check them again ;)

I had this problem with a Canon IP5200R connecting to a Mac Book Pro running Leopard. I had setup the printer as per instructions using the setup utility, could print a test page using the utils but could not print from an app.

My solution was to delete the printer (System Prefs > Print & Fax) listed in the system preferences and then re-add by clicking the '+' in the pref panel, then selecting 'More Printers' from the popup window. If you have the printer connected to the network correctly it should show up and you can simply re-add it. My printing now works correctly.

Thanks for your posting in FixYa.

1. Turn off printer
2. Hold down Resume button and press Power button.
3. Keep holding down Power button and let Resume button go.
4. Press Resume button 2 times then let BOTH buttons go.
5. Green lights will flash and then stop blinking.
6. When green lights are solid, press the Resume button 4 times.
7. Press the Power button and the printer should turn off, if not, press the Power button once more.
8. Your printer should respond as normal.
