Question about RCA DRC8052N DVD Recorder
On the power supply unit it does have a fuse, look near where the 110 volt connects up to the board. It should be very close to this connection. The Fuse is a soldier type, small and white in color it is located very near the front of the playier. I don't think the problem is electronic but rather software issues. The software is really buggy on this unit and even the reset doesn't offer any help. I was told by RCA a $50 dollar fee would be the repair cost, plus the shipping to and from. I'm not putting another $50 dollars in something they should be able to make a fix and allow a free download to help correct the problems. It could be an electronic issue, I maybe wrong but it does appear more software! It might be, a reload of the original software would help, it could have corrupted through static or other possible causes. They don't offer that or any hope of it. Support for this unit is down right sloppy at best. Not impressed with this unit at all, my experience is with a 5 month old unit, because it was a gift they will not honor the warranty.
