Samsung d900i Just bought a brand new phone from ebay and I cannot send or receive picture messages. I have contacted my provider T Mobile who have said that to set it up I need to send a picture either to myself or a friend and this will activate. Tried this and I still get the message: configuration error. Can anyone please help?

It would be best then to take the phone into a T-Mobile Store and have the reps set-it-up for you.

My unlocked for tmobile samsung flight ii will not send or recieve picture messages how do I fix this?

You need to configure internet and MMS settings on your phone to be able to send/receive multimedia messages.

Normally, the service provider sends these data as a SMS once you power on the device for the first time with the new sim card in it.

If you didn't received any, contact your service provider( in your case, it is T-Mobile ) and ask them to send the configuration settings or you may need to go to a T mobile service outlet.

My unlocked for tmobile samsung flight ii will not send or recieve picture messages how do I fix this?

If the phone is an AT&T branded device, even if it is unlocked, you will need to contact T-Mobile technical support and get their MMS/GPRS settings for your device. Right now you have the incorrect settings in the phone so it is unable to communicate through data services with the network. They should be able to provide you with this information.

I bought the phone new on ebay and I can't send or receive picture messaging.

If you bought it on ebay it might be generic and not have the proper settings set up for it for the MMS system. Example( if you bought a at&t phone that has been unlocked and are using it for T-mobile it might not have the settings for Tmobiles mms. So you would have to set it up to pick it up) your best bet would be to contact your wireless provider to help you with the settings. Some providers have whats called a Wireless configurator that is on the official site.

Can't receive or send picture messages

Can you verify that you have a MMS or picture messaging package with your service provider ?

Regardless of if you do or not you need to contact your service provider and have them take care of it. Typically there are no settings that would prevent you from receiving picture messages.

Post back for further help, thank you for trying Fixya!

Problems with picture messages

I will suggest contacting your service provider.
lets say if this phone was from cingular and it got unlocked, and then you try to use it with a T-mobile Sim card. chances are that the phone will not function with all T-mobile features. and this because the unlocked phones may still have internal settings from its previous carrier. " If Any" or just need updates for the current service provider. so it will be good to contact your service provider and ask them if they can provide any updates for this phone to send and receive picture messages.
Any questions Please ask.
Thanks
