Kodak Z740 - can't read the disk

My camera read the internal memory. However, it does not acknowledge the memory card. I have tried the card in other cameras and tries a new card, so I am sure the card is not corrupt. My camera is about 2.5 years old and has been working fine until now.

- Mine has same problem. Occassionally it tells me need to format memory card. I've tried reinserting the card, changing cards, shut-off and restart camera, nothing I do solves the problem. Later the problem goes away. Camera reads card normally.- GuestSolution #1

HAve you checked if the image storage setting of your camerato the card?
Press menu and scroll down until you see image storage
SEt the storage to Auto and press the ok button.
