I have the same player, sounds like a hardware defect, there is not a lot of troubleshooting with these things, If a new battery and a re-format does not fix the issue, it is defective and needs replacement, they are cheap and i have seen them on the net for as little as 13$ i bought mine at a doller tree for 20$, get a new one, they are based on flash memory and flash memory tends to have issue after use due to the naure of the technology. if you want a mp3 player that is a bit tougher got for a Creative, ipod or a name brand with a warranty. ;)

How do i recharge my slick 2gb mp3 music and video

Like most MP3 player with an inbuilt internal battery, your Slick 2gb mp3 music and video player will have an internal Li-Ion rechargeable battery that will be recharged via your USB Data cable while connected to an USB port on a PC/LAPTOP or USB charger.

Cannot find how to delete all music from my mp3

Deleting Files,Pictures,etc from MP3 Player

Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release, right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
Good Luck,
I hope this helps

How do i download music to my slicK mp3 player?

You dont need special software of cards to download music. you can Rip your own CD and compress them to MP3 using only you media player, however if you just want music you can try to download it using torrents and if you like the cd buy it.

My slick MP305-1 player won't do anything

Unfortunately, file system errors indicate that a key system file has been deleted, which means the firmware needs to be reinstalled on the player. I was unable to find a website for Slick, so I would check the product documentation to see if they posted a website to visit in case of trouble (and tell us what that website is in case anyone else asks). If they list a website in the documentation, go to that website and see if they have a firmware download listed. Unfortunately, only about 20% of mp3 manufacturers have reloadable firmware - if Slick is part of the 80%, then that mp3 player will need to be replaced. Good luck!

Slick MP3 Music Player

I used a different USB port and it worked. I guess the first one I used was not a "high speed" port.
