There is a web interface on the router that is very easy to use. You need to read your manual, or find one online. If you can erad the manual, you can configure your router. IF you can't read a manual, don't attempt to configure your router...trust me you'll very likely regret it ;o)

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Most router have a reset in the back. Hold it in till it cycles. This will clear ALL custom settings. Then use the defaults.

My DLink router is out of warranty, and I need the security key?

Only you have the security code. Do a RESET of the D-Link, this will reset to default settings. Press and hold the RESET button until the D-Link resets , 30 sec. or so, Reconfigure the SSID and Security code. Take a look at this: http://support.dlink.com/emulators/wbr2310/index.htm

The DWL-R60AT is an antenna, you need to secure your router. Not know what model your router is, I direct you to www.dlink.com and ask you to search for your router. Then download the user guide.

Had a wireless network. Today Time Warner had fire at office and entire city internet went down. System back up and my secure wireless connection is lost. I have a dlink connection, but it is now unsecure....

HI! to secure the dlink wireless network, u need to access the setup page of the router, pull up a browser and type in at the url:192.168.0.1 and it will ask the username and password, by default the username is admin and password, just leave it blank and it will show the setup page, on the left side select on wireless settings and manual settings, you can select any option here on what type of security u will set. once setting is done u have to save the settings.. once done u have to connect ur wireless computer to the secured wireless network that u create it will ask the password and connect

I am searching for step by step directions on how to secure my network. Can you help me?

This is an easy answer and a not so easy answer. I'm assuming you mean wireless security, one to keep your neighbors off of your internet.

A little lesson. There are basically 2 types of security, WEP and WPA-PSK. The first is simple but it slows down your connection and isn't very secure. It does, keep the dummies out of your network. The second, is more secure, BUT, if you lose the password, you just hosed yourself, because it's not visible.

DLink has an excellent website on how to do this, so here are the links

For WEP http://support.dlink.com/faq/view.asp?prod_id=1055&question=di%2D524+wireless+

For PSK http://support.dlink.com/faq/view.asp?prod_id=1506

For spare time reading and to find all the topics, here's a link to the top of the search file on wireless.

Setting up wireless security

ManualThis is a discontinued item. Your passwords can be  UN - admin PW - (none), admin, or public
Right click on your network icon for your dlink and click Status click support and whatever your gateway is put http://*gateway* in your browser and log in.  That is where I WOULD CHANGE YOUR password and setup your security.
