My LG LFX25971ST quit making ice - LG LFX25971ST Bottom Freezer French Door Refrigerator

Happened many times to me over the years there is a spade connecter that has become dis-connected from the vibration.Pull out bottom tray(mine),Unhindge the ice shute.The outer shell will then pop out with moderate effort.Unplug the wire harness to the display then remove about 4 screws and a cover will come off exposing the loose wire connection to the solinoid valve,I suggest crimping the female connector until it fits quite snug.Then re-install hardware.

make sure the ice maker lever is in the down position, when removing the tray the arm was probably moved to the top(off) position as if the tray was actually full which would shut off the ice making process

You may have an air circulation problem. Is your freezer packed tight with lots of food? If it is, you may want to take some of it out and allow air to circulate in the freezer. Also check the vents in the back to make sure they're not blocked with anything.

They Usually become disconnected internally or brake on the inside, The only way to find out is to Remove the ice maker pull it apart and see. First unplug the refer. Unscrew the 2 upper and 1 lover screw where the ice maker attaches to wall. Lift the harness tab and unplug the ice maker set on counter. Pull off the white cover and unscrew the housing. Pull apart the housing and see if you can re insert the wire to the toggle lever. If not you can replace this unit in a similar order. Hope this helps.

is there by any chance a "full level" bar or switch that may be stuck in the up (full) position?

I had this problem for 2 weeks until I noticed the ice-maker door was shut but not completely. Make sure the ice-maker door is shut..hope this is your problem...

Arm should not be in up position unless harvest cycle is in progress. Or unless you manually put it there to cut off Ice Maker. Most likely ice maker is defective
