Question about Sony Computers & Internet
I hate to ask this, but I have to..... Is there power at the wall outlet? Okay, now that the stupid question is out of the way (you'd be surprised how many service visits I've made for this)
make sure the AC cord between the wall and the transformer is in good shape and securely connected to the transformer. If you have a voltmeter, measure the voltage at the transformer end of the AC cable and make sure you have AC voltage there
If there is a light on your power adapter transformer, see it it is on.
If there is a light, and it's not on, but you have voltage at the AC cable, then the transformer is not working and must be replaced.
If there is no light or the light is on, check the DC voltage at the power connector that plugs into the laptop. The correct voltage should be written on the transformer casing.
If you have voltage there, then your battery may be faulty. Otherwise there is a problem with the circuit between the adapter inlet on the laptop and the battery.
