Question about Emerson MW8107WA Microwave Oven
I have an Emerson microwave, and the light bulb has blown out, it appears that there is no way for me to take it apart to change the bulb. any help greatly appreciated.
There is a way but.... you will have to remove outer cover generally held on with screws at rear and under microwave be sure the oven is unplugged and when you take cover off there is a capacitor in there thats holds a charge stored even when oven is unplugged so dont touch nothing except the light bulb would prefer if you dont have much electrical experience to take to repair shop or have someone do it who has a little electrical knowledge hope this helps

What Charles said is correct. When you do access the lamp, near the front right of the unit, you will have to remove one screw to loosen the base that the light is on. There are two black slots that the assembly sit in along with the screw. The light is connected with two electrical plugs that attach to the two metal posts on the light base. Gently work these plugs off, and then pull the light up off the two small plastic posts that it sits on. The light will NOT unscrew and you need to find the whole assembly online. I have not been able to find one at a local warehouse type store. Make sure you put in the model number when searching for it.
