Question about Canon IXUS V2 Digital Camera

Slider between modes (play, movie, stills) stopped working

The slider that change the modes from play/movie/stills stopped working. It is stuck (luckily...) on stills mode so I can take picturs. Can I fix it by myself, or should I hand it to professional shop?

Panasonic Digital camera DMC TZ3 Movie mode works and plays back on camera. When I import to Picassa they are stills. not movie clips

Picassa is a still photo software program. It does not work with videos. Try opening you videos in Quicktime. It's a free download if you don't have it already.

A345 stuck in movie mode

you need to open the camera caseing a small amount. As you put the case back make sure the switch is in the movie position so it will engage the switch inside on the circuit board. Looks like the switch has been knocked off the control inside. If you have been moveing the switch back and forward you may have broken it.

Movie mode function

The movie mode function allows you to record short movie clips. The recorded movies can be played back or stored as still images using the cameras index function. Please note that the D-390 does not record sound in the movie mode.
