Remove the screws from the back and sides, remove the cover by prying the back apart and lifting up from the back. You will see jammed discs or a broken drive belt.

Cheers,

Kevin

Carousel cocking ring stuck

I find the thing that works the best for releasing / breaking loose a jammed locking ring is one of those rubber pads that you use to open a stubborn jar of pickles.... Try it!! I've been using this for decades !!

How to remove a carousel stuck on a Kodak Carousel projector

No problem! FIRST, make sure the locking ring is in place and tight on the top of the tray. Next, locate the center hub (the hole in the center of the tray fits over it). In the center of the hub you will see either a "coin slot" or a small metal lever. Push the lever in the direction it will move and at the same time lift the tray off the projector. If you have a "coin slot), use a quarter to turn the coin slot until the tray is released. Turn the tray upside down, replace any slides that may have left the tray when it became stuck, and rotate the bottom metal plate until it locks in the locating slot. Turn on the projector and cycle it a few times IN REVERSE without a tray on it. this unlocks the jam in the projector. You should be good to go now!! Good Luck !! Jim

My Kodak Carousel 650H has a stuck slide and the tray won't move. The stuck slide is lined up with the "gate index." I tried releasing the tray but only one side of the tray releases. The...

Two steps.
1) Look down into the center of the carousel. There should be a round, flat silver knob with an elongated notch in it. Take a coin (US 5-cent piece or similar) and use it to turn the knob. This releases the catch on the metal plate under the projector. You should then be able to lift the carousel off. Be careful: some slides will fall out as the slot is not aligned with the carousel body properly once you do this.
2) Make sure the locking ring on top of the carousel is in place (or else take out all your slides. Turn the carousel over and gently rotate the metal plate covering the bottom of the carousel into position. You will hear/feel a "click" when it's in place.

The projector may have jammed because there are two slides stuck in the viewing slot--check for this before you put the carousel back on the projector. If it jams a lot the metal plate under the carousel may be bent.

The lever that drops the slides gets stuck in the 'up' position when the carousel is on the projector but it works fine when there is no carousel attached. When it gets stuck you have to take the carousel...

If you are using a 140 tray with older slides, that's very logical! Over time, slides develop a "side-to-side curve". Because the Carousel 140 tray stretches the design limits of the projector to be able to accurately return the slide to the tray, the slightest bend or "dog-ear"(the fraying of the corner of the slide) will cause exactly the problem you're having. If you have a Kodak 80-Slide tray, try it. Chances are that it will work fine. If it does work fine, then you have 2 options: 1. Move all your slides into Carousel 80 Trays.
2. Have your slides re-mounted (that is, have the paper mounts replaced).
I hope this helps !!

IBM Autoloader 36232sx error code A027 & A060

A0= Error occurred during carousel movement (position not found). Could be caused by a carousel motor power issue, a missing or misaligned cartridge carrier, an obstruction, or an unexpected cartridge in the carousel path.

I also advise you to update the FW of the loader.

A cd has gotten stuck in my Sony 5 cd/dvd carousel player. Appears that the label on the CD had gotten soft (sticky) and when the carousel rotates it stays stuck underneth the top while the carousel moves...

As long as the cd hasn't caused any other damage to the electronics or mechanics of the player, it should be an easy fix. First, open your carousel then unplug the player to avoid shock. Remove the top lid of the player via the screws on the exterior holding it in place. From there, the stuck CD should be right there for you to reach in and remove. Hope this helps!
