If not generating any heat then element is probably burned out- close visual inspection will general reveal break in element coils

If some heat then probably on of the thermostats gone bad. Will power off test for continuity with meter--if no reading replace

Good luck

Whirlpool duet dryer

Run the dryer for 2-5 minutes. Check to see if it has heat inside. If not, you have an internal problem.
If heat is generated, check your dryer lint trap. It must be clean before every dry cycle to dry properly and efficently. If the trap is clean and heat is generated, check the tubes behind the dryer for disposing of the lint.

No heat in the dryer! The dryer runs and air has free flow to the exit vent but still not heat being generated

check on rear of dryer, as many have a small reset button for heater. If this is fitted then gently oush it inwards and this should solve the problem

My dryer does not not produce enough heat when in operation. It seems like it is just running and generating very low heat. Please help.

Really sounds like an element is burnt out or a safety has malfuctioned. Possible loss of power so check plug, recept., and breaker. Look for burnt terminals and reset breaker even if it does not look tripped. Dryer usually have 2 elements. One for low heat and both for hi heat. May want to check this out. Please keep in mind that some repairs can cost more than buying a new dryer. I got one at Lowes for about $200 and it works great. I don't think you can get a repair guy out and to the repairs for that amount. Just depends on how many whistles, buzzers, and bells you want on your machine.

Good Luck.

Must hold start button to run. no heat

disconnect power and remove lid. Test the door switch w a volt meter do so opening and closing the door not pushing switch if circuit stays open try pushing switch with finger. If pushing closes circuit then adjust switch. If circuit stays open replace switch. If switch operates with no problems then it is the motor. Check all connections and vacuum lint from motor
