Vent valve or vapor canister purge valve is what I believe your referring too. You dont need to replace the complete vapor canister, just the valve itself. the valve is connected to the canister with a small 2" long rubber hose.

SOURCE: starting

Does it feel like its not starting from a fuel problem? I would look at the fuel filter for the 1st culprit.

SOURCE: I have air coming into the fuel system on my jetta diesel

NO it does not have a fuel pump in the tank. It uses vaccum.
and if their are tiny bubbles in the clear line coming from the fuel filter to the injection pump that is normal. Even when the car is not running it is normal to see bubbles in the line. hope this helps.

SOURCE: What do repair cost run

That's a difficult guess because there is a wide range in hourly rates between dealerships/repair shops.
An educated guess, you are likely going to see estimates in the range of $125 to $200.

I have done a conversion iv put a jetta 2 cli 1.8 motor in my golf mk 1 I want to know if I need both fuel pumps or wil the pre supply pump be enough? and because the golf had a mechanical fuel pump...

you cant just steel power.you have to have fuel pressure regulator conected with fuel pump relay and pump itself.best way would be to install fuel tank from MK4 with el.pump inside, add relay conected with ignition switch and fusible power from battery

I got a jetta cli 1992 model. My fuel gauge fluctuates while driving. Cn sumone help cos this problem is very annoying

Simple solution is keep the tank full. What you are seeing is caused by the "free surface effect" (gasoline sloshing back and forth in your tank). If you can't keep your tank full. learn to ignore it or put black tape over it. The repair will be very expensive.

Where is my fuel filter located? my car is a 1993 VW jeta III GL

Look under the car, towards the rear passenger door, along the side of the undercarriage. It will look like a can without a label. It will have one line going in and out of each end.

1993 VW Cabriolet Fuel pump or Injector problem?

Hi. This is more of a fuel filter issue than a pump issue although, a bad fuel filter will eventually destroy a fuel pump. When the filter is restricted or clogged, this will tend to work the pump harder than normal. this will over heat the pump, therefore, shortening its life span. I recommend replacing the fuel pump and filter and, adding a fuel additive like techtron fuel injector cleaner/water remover as well.

Please rate and have a great day:)
