Trouble connceting playstation 3 console to my Samsung LN32A450 32-Inch
Im having trouble connecting my playstation 3 game console to my tv via HDMI cable, for some reason when I play my games I get this image flicker, for example on vertical and horizontal lines they flicker, I've tried checking if the HDMI cable is securely placed in the console and the tv, and its not that, I've tried putting the hdmi cable in all of the 3 hdmi ports my tv has and i get the same results, and on the playstation 3 display settings your supposed to check off every resolution your tv supports I check off the 480p, and the 720p becuase thats what my tv supports at least I think so, My question is how do you change the tvs resolution to match the game your playing, and my other questions are Do i need a new HDMI cable? or what is the right HDMI cable to use for this certain TV set?

Heres a way to connect the 2 but Im thinking you need a computer with HDMI or just use a ps3. http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-OEM-Samsung-Allshare-Cast-Wireless-HDMI-Hub-Dongle-for-S3-S4-Note-2-10-1-8-0-/390609742443?pt=US_Other_Cell_Phone_Accessories&hash=item5af227aa6b
Assuming your TV will support 720p signals, check how you have the TV connected to the Playstation 3. Change your video cable to component video or HDMI, depending on the TV. (The Composite input is limited to 480i (SD) pictures. The same is true for a SCART connection.) Put the TV to the new input by pressing the Input Source button on the TV Remote or through the menu depending on your TV.
You may have to do the first of these steps before changing your cables and the TV input source (I'm not sure). On the Playstation, select Settings and then Display Settings.Choose your video output (component or HDMI). Next select all resolution that the TV can use. (Most 32" TVs only do 720p. There are some that can do 1080i or 1080p.) Confirm the video connection works. Then Save your settings.
I am assuming both your dvd recorder and cable is plugged into your tv? Conncet a composite cable (rca cable or aka red, white, and yellow cable) from cable box OUT to dvd recorder IN. That should fix the problem. I mention composite cable but if you another slot for av then go ahead and use that. Make sure you have AV connected from dvd recorder OUT to the tv IN. Also the cable box should be HDMI OUT to tv IN. If you have it connected like this, it should work. Hope this helps.
Connect the HDMI cable to the playstation 3 and LG TV.
Press the input button on your LG remote until you see the new HDMI connection.
If there is no picture, Hold the power button on your PS3 until you see lights flahing on the console, this will reset the playstation to default., as it may be set for a RCA signal, thus no pictue through HDMI.
Adjust the audio output on your playstation and the television depending upon how you're connecting it to the television for picture and sound.
For an hdmi cable between the television and the PS3 only then adjust the audio ouput to hdmi on the PS3. You do not need to connect anything else between the television and the PS3 besides an hdmi cable.
If you are using the colored plug type component or composite cables then it is av.
If you are connecting with a fiber optic cable to a surround sound system then it is set to optical.
Depending on what television you are using you would also have to change the Playstation to 48khz/96khz
PlayStation 3 (PS3) is a high-definition gaming console that supports
both standard AV connections and high-resolution connections (such as
HDMI). Most of the older Philips TVs come with a standard AV input.
Newer, flat-panel Philips TVs include standard AV inputs and
high-resolution inputs. To get the best video quality
out of your PS3, using an HDMI connection is recommended if the option
is available. The PS3 does not include an HDMI cable, only a standard AV
Connect the flat end of the PS3 AV cable into the "AV Multi Out" port on the back of the PS3.
Connect the "red," "white" and "yellow" prongs on the
opposite end of the PS3 AV cable into the corresponding "red," "white"
and "yellow" AV inputs on the TV (usually located on the side or in the
Press the "Source" button on the Philips TV remote.
Select the "AV" video display mode.
Turn on the PS3. The PS3 logo will appear on the screen.
You might want to try a factory reset on your PS3 = turn it off then hold down the power button for 5 seconds it should then Beep.
there is a small memory in the PS3 that stores info about the tv that is was Initially setup on. IF you do this reset this should allow you to connect it to your Acoustic Solutions tv via the hdmi cable.
Another Tip i would do is connect it all up with it turned off then power up your appliances once its all connected.
