Maybe this tip is helpful:

Some bios test at the beginning the speed of the cpu-fan.
If the speed is to low, computer is switched off.
So pls replace your fan by a higher speed type.

What sound card is compatible with my asus p5vd2-vm se im going to buy a altec lansing 6 channel speeaker pls. help

Your ASUS motherboard model has on-board sound. You are asking what 3rd party card to install?

Your motherboard supports:

PCIe x1
PCIe x16

A 3rd party sound card of your choosing that will fit in one of these vacant slots will do nicely.

My adaptor broke on my eee pc900 so i brought a new one which puts out the right output but my laptop still does not come on the battery light just flashes

did you buy a power pack or a charger coz theres a big difference. sounds like theres no power going in other wise it would switch on without needing the battery at all, thats why your battery light just flashes coz thats what its trying to boot up off but its flat.
Dubble check your supply.I would take it to a computer shop & get them to find the right one & then when u know **** them off & get a cheep second hand one off e-bay.

What is the best available compatible chip for ASUS A8V-E SE?

Go to the Asus website. Click on the support link. Lookup your specific motherboard model #. Once you have located this there will be a menu in the left hand side that will say cpu support. Click on this & it will list all cpu's that are compatible with your board and what bios version you would need to run with each cpu. Hope this helps.
