Question about Sony FD Trinitron WEGA KV-32FS120 32" TV
My Sony Trinitron was working one minute....I put my TVR on pause and now my TV screen won't turn on...has 4 blinks in Standby. I've tried the hard reset..leaving it turned off for 5 hours..nothing. I understand according to previous articles about this that I'm supposed to "Check IC1509, Q1505" but what does that mean? How do I do that? Thanks for any help you can give.
This may be a vertical circuit problem. IC1509 is usually the vertical IC. If you can solder, I would first try an resolder the pins on this IC. If that fails to resolve it, replace the IC. This IC is a small flat IC attached to a heat sink with about 11 pins. It will be marked LA7837 or something similar. Feel free to post the marking and I'll confirm you have the correct IC.
Keep me posted.
