BATTERY CHARGER
UADP-0208TAZZ WONT CHARGE BATTERY OR RUN ON POWER
My Everio wont charge or run on power lead. It will run off batteries that have been charged. This unit is two years old and I havnt even filled the disk yet.
I expected better for $1200. In fact it shits me.

- The problem is in the camera. The power supply is ok. I have pulled it apart looking for a dry solder jpint but it looks fine and there is power to the board. (11 volts)

Check that the power lead is not faulty a replacement cost $1 or so.
Unfortunately electronic parts like the battery charger can get faulty quite easily.
The part it is not an expensive one, if you order the original from JVC, using the phone number listed on your owner manual, it will cost $80 or so.

- I was not trying anything, you just stated on your first post "WONT CHARGE BATTERY OR RUN ON POWER", that is faulty power supply, unless power supply is hooked to battery instead that into camera (it is like that on some Pana).
If you tested and it works, well that happens too.
if it is not the charger than it is either the battery or the battery contacts/charger socket on the camera, and your description was wrong.
If it is fixed by doing nothing more than taking apart power adapter, then it was a fault in the power adapter.

We can connect remotely to our system from home but can't get past the login screen. Nothing happens after we type in our login and password. We have checked to make sure port 80 is forwarded on our router.
