If you find the same white line in the BIOS screen, we can confirm that it is the problem with the LCD Screen of the notebook.

To enter in to the notebook BIOS uility, start it and keep on tap F10

Brightness contro indicator keeps appearing on screen for no reason Fn+F3 have not been working for very long

Hello Lombardy,

Weird behavior on a laptop nearly ALWAYS indicates a broken motherboard or a virus infection.

If it is the motherboard, you will have to replace the laptop.

If it is a virus, please download a good antivirus package (MBAM or HITMAN PRO) and run it several times to clean the infection.

Good luck!

Hi my hp compaq nc6000 does this weird thing; like, its really slow to browse down a page and it lags on watching movies online (not buffers) it just goes like its in slow motion which is how it is with...

All you can do is check it for trojans get a free copy of spynomore and see what it finds If it's not trojans then the hard-drive may not have any space left on it... it needs 10% to breathe. It uses the 10% as cache. If that isn't the issue then try doing a hard drive diagnostic. You may have dropped the notebook one time and the hard drive could be close to failing.

I have laptop dell inspiron 9300 it 17 sreen , it has a white verticle white line about on the middle about inche 1 1/8 wide hohow to fix? thank you...very much

Unfortunately, there is no way to fix it.
This line called "Tab Separation" of LCD.
You'll need whole new LCD display.
Very very common problem.
