The PUK code is not related to the handset.
It is rather associated with your SIM card.
When you enable the PIN in your SIM card, every time you switch on your phone, you will be asked for your pin. At given number of tries provided by your mobile operator, that you have provided the wrong PIN (usually operators set it at 3 tries), then you came to the stage called PUK-blocked.

To unlock, you would need the PUK code of the SIM card. The PUK code is usually an 8-digit code. This PUK code should have been provided to you when you purchased your SIM card. Some has the PIN-PUK code printed in the card body of the SIM card, while some attach it as a separate print out. Should your operator failed to provide this PIN-PUK code to you, perhaps, you would have to get it from your operator. Try calling their customer service. Just like the PIN, the operator as well could say how much tries do you have to successfully unblock the PUK of your SIM . The common number of tries set by the operators is 10 tries.

You are thengiven 10 attempts to enter your PUK code. just buy another sim card. if you are PUK blocked, you can no longer do anything about that.

You can unlock lg gt540 from emergency mode by inserting your puk code. PUK code can you obtained from sim card package or you can request from your network provider. If puk code still can't unlock lg phone you need to reflash your phone at mobile repair shop.

A request for a PUK code ("Personal Unlocking Key") will appear on your phone if your SIM card PIN code is entered 3 consecutive times incorrectly.

You need to call the Customer Service department of your cell phone provider and they will give you the PUK code which will unblock your SIM card.

if u enter ur pin code wrongly more than 3 tyms then ur cell will ask 4ur puk code... if in tat case remember tat if ur puk code is enterd wrongly then ur sim will be useless..... wen evr there is a puk code emergency call to ur customer care( the network which u use) and ask 4ur puk code.... u have u answer their 2 or 3 security questions and u'll get ur puk code... aftr enterin ur puk code ur old pin code will b changed so ask the customer care ppl abt ur new pin code... simpleeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
