Check that the error is not Ft, that means Full Tank. Drain the internal safety tank through the drain hoses by opening the cover on the rear of the appliance. there you will find two drain hoses, pull them out, take off the caps, and let all the water flow out.
When finish draining the water place the caps and the hoses back in place.
You also need to clean the filters and let them dry before putting them back in place. Here is the user manual, see self diagnosis section.

I would venture that your unit requires cleaning of the filters or at worst it may be a fan motor. Initially, try removing the front panel holding the filters and clean it as instructed in the user's manual. Should this not be corrective, i would suggest to seek the services of a qualified professional
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
when tank is full you will get the letters FE will signal a FULL TANK (The tank is full)
You have it setup to constantly drain GOOD. Should you should not plug the drain hoses to get colder air. Do let it drain . It is more convenient! If the unit is the proper BTU for the square footage of the area to be cooled it will be cold! If the tank gets full you will not get cool air?
Please remember to leave a rating before you go! Thank you
It's actually "Ft", which means "Full Tank". The instruction manual says to drain the internal safety tank through the drain hoses.
To drain the tank, open the cover on the rear of the appliance.
Pull out the 2 drain hoses, take off the caps, and let all the residual water flow out.
When all the water has been drained, place the caps back on the hoses and put the hoses back inside.
It also says you need to clean the filters and let them dry thoroughly before putting them back.
This is also the procedure for "End of Season Operations."
Hope this helps!
Hoses for proper connection should have been included with your purchase. Without the hoses the set-up can not be done satisfactory. One is for fresh air supply and the other is the hot air exit hose. These are normally vented out a window. Check with the dealer where you perchased the unit from. If from a private individual contact them.
