Can't get my gyro transport GP916T to work as a remote slide changer on powerpoint, which is what I bought it for (as recommended in PC World)
The UK helpline 0871 7121312 doen't work
can you please tell me how to make the Gyro Transport move slides forward and back. It's connected OK and I can see the pointer move across the screen, but I can't seem to activate it's ppt actions

Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it with fresh batteries. If you wish to get more details about how to check a remote control, check the site linked here.

Try opening the battery casing (slide the part that fits in your palm backwards) and making sure the battery pack is plugged in- I just got one off eBay and they apparently ship with the battery pack unplugged. just take the battery out (it's easier to plug in from a vertical angle) and connect the cables, if they aren't already, then put the pack back in. Replace the cover, then let the battery charge for 14 hours or until it stops blinking on the base. Then, restart/turn on your computer and it should work, or at least the light should stay on when you take it off the charging station...
This is a common problem. With our new Aspire Z5610 we pressed the reset button under the keyboard but the problem came back from time to time. To be be honest the design of the Aspire keyboard and mouse is rubbish. Went out and bought a new Advent wireless keyboard and mouse in sleek aluminium design - works a treat and no problems so far. Cost £35 from PC World.
i would recommend finding out what specific make/model this keyboard is and download an updated driver for it. zoom in/out basically will enlarge or shrink the text in a web browser or other editing software (word, excel, powerpoint, etc.)
I've actually just bought a new keyboard and mouse (Today!) because I could not get my advent ade-ad2 to work at all on vista, (Previously had it on my xp).
Thought I'd give it one last try as PC world were no help this morning and previous internet searches were no help either.
Soooo. after the usual on/off...push in little button on underside etc.etc...the only thing that I did different was press the "wake" button on the keyboard.
