My tv is set to wide sceen and is cutting off some of the picture. how do i set it to full sceen

You should have a setting in the menu's to change the picture size. May have to dig up the owners manual to find it though. I'm assuming the picture you do see is clear.

Screen prob with Hitachi 51UWX20B red square

Maybe the best way to adjust the screen is with the manual magic focus..instead of letting the tv do the auto change it to manual and see if you can adjust the convergence yourself. I have this same model and once in the manual adjustment you want to make sure you see all white lines....if you seen any blue or red that is the color that needs to be moved towards the white line closest.

Once you think you have it lined up nicely hit "exit" on your remote and option 1....

Hope this helps you.

Wet rear projection sceen

You may be able to reach it through taking off the back cover and wiping the screen down. If not you will have to remove the screen assembly.

Television picture gets larger

Your problem most likely is in your high voltage circuit, and the 160 volt radial lead capacitor is probably gone high ESR or changed in capacitence, this usually happens during bright sceens or sceen change.
