Question about Philips GOGEAR SA6045 MP3 Player

1 Answer

Frozen Okay, yesterday it was working fine, but when I turned it off, when it turned back on it was STUCK at the PHILLIPS screen, it has been this way for a while, I keep restarting it, I tried the hardware update, but that didn't work, I think it's a problem with the MP3 player itself, but I can't seem to fix it, restarting always worked before, so now I'm VERY worried, can anyone help me?

If the light around the spinning wheel is blue and the screen is black, then Hold the on/off button up for about 10-20 seconds and it should turn off. then you can just turn it on again. I fit doesn't work, then just wait for the battery to die and charge it back up.

Phillips mp3 player frozen

Sounds like a firmware problem.

Run the Philips Device Manager to repair the device. This will format the player and re-load the corrupt firmware.

Stuck Screen

It seems as thought the player itself has actually frozen. I have the same player and it has never done this to me. If you havent allready try leaving it alone in a quiet place for a day or two until it runs out of battery. Then plug it in to your PC to charge and it should be okay. As this has happend to me with other players. If it isnt however, try to resolve the issue by somehow updating the firmware. Try googling "SanDisk Sansa e260 Firmware Upgrade" and see what you can find. If there is something which looks hopeful try it, but if it doesnt work, the perhaps the only option is to return or exchange the player at its place of purchase. P.S Check the USB modes.
