Try another technician (and a good one this time). Seriously, it's his responsibility.

54cm CRT tv tube green

CRT color television have three color "guns"; red, green, and blue. This is where the term RGB comes from when discussing computer CRTs. If you are getting only green, something is preventing the red and blue guns from working.

Sp43w6hp red gun convergence problem

Hi!
as i see in your comment.. you have defective convergence correction amplifier ICs. the RED GREEN and BLUE (RGB) is amplified by the STK ICs. your RED convergence is not working good in the STK ICs! Replace the STK ICs a new one to get back the normal colors. Thanks...

Have a Sony KP-65WV600, already replaced d board once, and replaced convergence ic's once also. Now as soon as I turn unit on, turns to red screen and shuts off, video that is, audio works ok, noticed...

Check High voltage Block. After replacing ic's (STK convergence ic's) you need to adjust Black&White scale.Turn ALL screen adjustments to min.Turn TV on and adjust screen slowly for each gun (I would start with Red first ) when you came to point that you see red background with white lines across, at that point G2 is too high (that will cause TV to shut down, don't worry just lowered adjustment and turn tv back on) so adjust to proper voltage and do the same for each gun. After that, adjust focus for each gun (again all controls are on High Voltage Block and HVB is mounted on front of your tv after you take speaker gril out) black box with 6 controls' screen RGB, focus RGB .
You should do that in dark room in order to get perfect Black&White scale, when all guns are adjusted properly you will see grey picture.Make sure 'Color" adjustment on your display is down to 0. Another step is convergence adjustment ,Flash Focus etc.If TV stil shuts off after all, your Red picture tube is short inside, take crt pcb from tube, make sure TV is unpluged from power before that, and turn Tv on .If stays On tube need replacment...good luck)

I read your answer about kdp-51ws550 regarding the bulb usually the main reason( besides the power supply) dosen't this tv has three bulbs?

Three bulbs, no. They are not bulbs in the sense that you are thinking. The way that it works is there are three small high intensity CRT guns. There are three because most images on any TV can be created with three basic colors. They are Red Green and Blue (RGB). This has been the industry standard since the first projector came out and since color tv came about. Each Gun is pointed at a specific angle towards the Rear of the TV and is reflected off of a mirror then is focused to its appropriate spot upon the viewing projection screen. Gotta love math.

My Akai projection tv the color has bad color and double vision. Why?

If you have an older model projection set then the Convergence Ic's have gone bad. This type of repair usually cost around $250.00 to repair and can be done in the home by a technician.

Color Problem:

in Monitor CRT Red-Blue-green cathode guns are there.. Mixing of these colour we can get the original colour chrominace technique. if any of the colour gun is faulty we would get more REad or blue or green picture. Measure RGB voltages. you can verfify which gun is faulty. if then check RGB processing circuits. Else there might be problem Chrominance colour decoder system. Contact service centre
