Deleting or formatting won't make the data in USB drive erased permanently.

Those deleted data is still stored on the USB drive , it's just invisible or inaccessible. Only the FAT or NFTS table is erased (the information about where those data were saved), but the real data are still intact there in sectors of the hard drive.

So as long as those data are not overwritten by new data, it's highly possible to recover them. And the MOST Effective way is to rely on some format recovery programs.

Try this flash drive recovery program named asoftech data recovery, which can recover data after deeply scanning your USB drive to look for lost data you accidentally deleted or formatted.

Why to format this flash drive without extracting everything useful out at first? Have got drive not formatted error, RAW file system error or virus-infection warning? No matter why you are forced to format this flash drive, you'd better add nothing new on this drive to avoid permanent data loss at first.
And then, apply flash drive format recovery software to check whether your lost data is still recoverable.
Simply let your selected data recovery software to deeply scan your SanDisk flash drive and rescue all possible files back.

OK! Don't panic! Nowadays, the formatting process will not actually erase the contained data on a memory card or hard drive. The data is still there and only becomes invisible. That's why one always has chances to get back their lost data back from a formatted hard drive as long as they are not overwritten by anything new.
So, I hope you've not saved anything new on your USB flash drive.
Plunge this USB flash drive to your computer and download a formatted drive data recovery freeware that can easily restore your wanted data back from this formatted drive for free:
http://www.4cardrecovery.com/
In fact, I find it as my camera memory card is also accidentally formatted. It eventually restores all my needed photos, videos and files back successfully. Moreover, it can work perfectly both on a memory card and hard drive. So, it can be a good chance for you.
Just read more detailed information of this freeware here:

PS: Do not forget to back up everything important well in the future.

Well! Have you saved anything new on this hard drive since the formatting process?
In fact, nowadays, the formatting process would not actually destroy the contained data on a hard drive as you think. The deleted data is still there and become invisible. But, any new file on the same drive would rewrite it and make it gone permanently. So, act carefully to get your data back:
1. Stop using this hard drive right now in case that any new file on it may overwrite your deleted files.
2. Insert this drive to your computer.
3. Download a hard drive data recovery freeware to retrieve all your lost data back.
This professional hard drive data recovery freeware has helped many people around me restore their inaccessible data off from a phone/camera memory card or hard drive. It could be a good choice for you to go on.
Try to read more detailed information of this hard drive data recovery freeware here:
http://www.formatrecovery.blogspot.com/2013/02/recover-data-after-formatting.html

4. Do not save or back up all the restored data on the hard drive in case of any data loss

Hi,

You can recover files from the USB flash drive even after formatting it by using a tool called USB data recovery. A couple of days ago, I was able to recover data from flash drive after formatting it on my computer by using this wonderful tool. You can also download demo tool from the internet and evaluate the recovery results before purchasing the full version software.

What do you mean by "forced to format"? Did the system indicate you to format the USB drive, and sometimes won't let you format it? In this case, your drive may be corrupted. Try resue the data first...

First of All, connect your cruzer USB flash to your personal computer (shows lick Drive G: or H:)

Next take a file recovery software to recover the data as soon as possible. Recommended one is Wondershare Data Recovery. Get the program here,

Windows Data Recovery (Windows Version)
Mac Data Recovery (Mac OS version)

Take care - Before those items are recovered, stop saving more files to the device!

There is a program called get data back. This will recover data from a readable flash drive. Even if you have to format the drive to stop the errors and make it readable to windows, you can still recover the data.

SanDisk Cruzer Blade is not showing data. The drive shows up in 'My Computer' but data is not showing.

try other usb port, or other computer and see whether the hdd is detected. If still not, try to go to device manager ( http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000833.htm ), and then assign a drive letter to the hdd. After that, try to access it from Computer, if not able to access it, format it (use quick format) and then use this program to recover your files.

You have ruined the file integrity of the flash drive, There is a very slim chance that you will recover any data off of the drive. Most flash drives only have a read/write of about 8,000 to 9,000 times so depending on how much you actually used the drive, it is possible it finally went bad. To format the drive try going to my computer and right clicking on your cruzer drive letter and click format. "ALL DATA WILL BE ERASED WITH THIS OPTION"

Hello, have a 4GB SanDisk pen drive all of

It is a common problem for SanDisk USB Flash drives.
Try to unplug it and to plug it again and repeat this process a few times.
If it doesn't makes a difference, then I am sorry to inform that you just lost all your data from the flash drive.
You only have to format it and try to recover your files.
Here is a tips and tricks that I wrote and could help you: http://www.fixya.com/support/r4482753-recover_lost_or_deleted_files_from_hard
OK, but there is a catch. Take a close look at the window where the software is scanning your drive. If there are sectors(rows) that are 0 you cannot recover your data.
If this doesn't work try so see if in hex the sectors are numbered. If you will see a complete line of 0, then you won't be able to recover any data from the device.
I am saying this from experience, because I just lost my data from Cruzer Titanium just a few days ago.

My cruzer micro 4gb flash needs compression but I get the message drive not formatted. How can I recover the data without formatting the flash drive since formatting will erase all of my data?

You can run a data recovery app on the drive and attempt to pull off any data still accessible. I recommend the GetDataBack Data Recovery apps from http://www.runtime.org . Get the one for the file system on your thumb drive and give it a try. These apps have recovered data from "dead" drives for me more times than I can count.

1gb cruzer micro

This is caused by 1 of 2 problems:
  1. Your flash drive is corrupted in some way, forcing the computer to reformat it before you can use it.
  2. The flash drive was formatted for a specific device (like a piano) and was made only for that device.
  3. Your PC incorrectly recognized it
  4. You do not have the correct drivers installed.
If you have problem #4, you can go onto google and search "1 gb cruzer micro drivers".
If you have problem #3, try plugging your flash drive into a different USB port.
If you have problem #2 or #1 (Which it most likely is), then you should try or buy a software application such as PC Inspector, to recover those files. Then you may reformat the flash drive.

However, I found that sometimes, just restarting the computer, and inserting and re-inserting the flash drive sometimes does work. But that's not guaranteed.

My usb flashdisk become raw data

1). Do not format this hard drive before you've recovered all your stored data back. In your case, the formatting process may erase everything on your drive and make your data gone permanently.
2). Never save anything new on this drive in case that any new file would rewrite your original data.
3). Plunge this drive to your computer and download a RAW drive data recovery freeware to get back all your lost data back:
http://www.freeware-fix.blogspot.com/2013/02/raw-hard-drive-recovery.html
This hard drive has helped many people around me restore their inaccessible data back from a RAW drive or memory card. It can also work perfectly on your drive.
Read more detailed information of this freeware here:
http://blog4mark.blogspot.com/2012/10/help-external-drive-became-raw.html
4). Save and back up all your restored data on another drive in case of data recovery failure.
5). Format this drive to see whether it is fixable.
