We have converted the oven to LP
The oven flame is yellow and gives off a harsh gas in the room. Can this be fixed?

I think ill give it a try for you. The gas lines come in thru you cutoff valve then thru you gas valve and on to the burner. right before the burner you will see a bell shape fitting. The gas line is in the center of the fitting and there will be some opening around this fitting That fitting has dust clogging it up. This is where the gas mixes with the air Turn your oven off and blow this fitting out.

It sounds like your not getting enough air mixed in with the gas.if you can't adjust for more air make sure you were not supposed to change the spuds that feed the gas on the lower units.

Take a 1/2 inch open end wrench and tighten the orifice on top of the safety valve.Probably about 2 turns. Then adjust the air shutter to mostly open.

I am not sure. However, people in our area of sc, have had burner problems because a local utility added propane to their natural gas because they got it a bargain. guy
