I would suggest re doing all the wiring. you may have blown an ic chip inside the unit. if so you will need to get unit repaired

hold down the 2 centre buttons on main unit and tap the reset button with a pen. this brings up a factory menu.

hi, sorry yes of course. what that wire does it stops the picture whilst you are moving (to keep it legal in some countries) so it assumes that with the park brake on you can't be moving. it depends on whether chevy have a relay or not on that park brake. i would hook it to a positive (something like the key switch) if you don't mind it showing a picture whilst you are moving (again this may be bending the rules in your country i dont know) other wise the park brake wire should be + and it will ground itself through the bolts holding it to the chassis.

basically 1, try hooking it to the park brake wire (this will turn screen off whilst park brake is off)

2, jump it to the red or yellow power wire (this will allow screen to be on whenever the key is on)

hope this helps, sorry i mucked up before.

AVH-P5000DVD : I can't get any image from DVD. I use Toggle switch between green light wire and ground. Instead of giving an image, its stay black and but i have the sound. help thx

There must be a switch contact that is wired to your shifter or neutral kill switch that tells the dvd player what state the transmission is in. Wire it open or closed as necessary. Try this link, buy this and save yourself a headache : Hope this helps, Good luck buddy, Lex....

Two black wires on harness of AVH-P5700DVD

If they are black or green then they are ground. The more ground the better. SO yes, both are ground. DO check fuse as well.

I cant watch dvds on it what wire do hook up to what.

Take the green parking light wire and put it to 1 side of a toggle switch, ground the other side of the toggle switch. Put dvd in wait for warning screen, flip toggle swithc off, then on. You should be all set.

Problem wirings for Pioneer AVH-P6500DVD Car DVD Player

very easy fix. you can pay thirty bucks on ebay and buy the bypass kit or make it yourself. but the light green wire on the harness has to be hooked up to ground. just hook the light green wire to the chassie of the car and you will be able to see dvds all the time. If you want to buy the kit its not really needed I have a toggle switch on mine just for turning it on and off when I am driving. simple as putting a wire from your chassie of the car(Ground) and then the other from the unit(light green wire) to a switch. hooking it up from Supply to Acc on the switch.
