Question about Lexmark X7350 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Huge pdf files

Hello!
Whenever I try to use the 'convert to pdf' function, the files I end up with are huge and many servers reject any of them attached to emails. I click on Document and have I think the lowest resolution of pixels (200) in black and white. Still, the files are huge. Please tell me which settings to use to bring these down to an emailable size.

Also, I scan a few times and then have to power off the Lexmark (X9575) and reboot because I begin to get the "cannot locate applications list..." error message. Once I reboot, I'm able to use the scanner a few more times before I get the error message again.

Thank you for you help...I appreciate it!

Try scanning a "photo" to file and using the advanced scan options to set a lower DPI. Then from the Library view you can convert that 'photo' (of a document) to PDF.

Pl can you tell me how to add page in existing pdf file step by setp

Hello,

There are many tools available to edit the Pdf File. But i would recommend the pdf file to convert in doc or rtf format. you can use this website to convert it first www.pdftoword.com
Once this website is opened you need to add the file in it and convert it and save it in your hard drive. Once its save edit the document using Office or open office once you have it edited you need to convert it back again to pdf.
Use this website to convert it from doc or docx to pdf click in here to open the website www.doc2pdf.net

Thanks

I scanned to pdf but how do I get document to my document file?

A PDF file can be placed in any folder on your computer and opened with a PDF viewer like Adobe Reader. You can convert a PDF to a document (DOC) file but you cannot open a PDF file with a document editor like Microsoft Word. You may want to scan your document as an image file like TIFF or JPG then use the Insert Picture function to get it into a DOC file.
I hope this helps.

I print lots of pdf files from my computer (running Windows 7 Ultimate) with my HP 1018. However, I have downloaded banking statements from my bank's website in pdf format and whenever I attempt to print...

PDF files have the capability to be locked by the creator of the document to not allow printing or editing. It is possibly this is the cause of your issue. You can try to bypass this security by converting it with an online service such as this (http://docupub.com/pdfconvert/) and convert it back to a PDF format. This will often remove the protection and allow you to print the document.

When I scan to a pdf with the Lexmark X5470, the PDF files are way to huge. How can I have them scan to a normal size?

The file size is dependant on several things, such as, the amount of information on each page, the type of document (all text, image or combination and colors). Try to scan to OCR and then save as PDF.
If you have the full version of Acrobat, not just the reader, try scanning to a word file or RTF then convert to PDF.
