I'm unable to connect my digital camera to my Windows XP computer via the USB port. When I check the USB 2.0 Controller in the Device Manager, there is a yellow exclamation mark (!) next to it. When I check on the status of the USB 2.0 Controller, the following message appears:
The drivers for this device are not installed (code 28).
-   Windows XP - reloaded after clearing hard drive, PCI won't load using regular windows procedure of adding hardware. Connections good, not USB but analog. Downloaded drivers from a software company, and still no dice. System is still under warrantee and sealed. So boards have not been disturbed. Give me some sound please. Koss speakers.-   Datum

This message appears because Windows XP did not originally support the USB 2.0 specification.
However, as of May 2002, the final release version of the Microsoft USB 2.0 drivers for Windows XP is available at the Windows Update Site. The driver is designated Microsoft USB Driver Version 5.1.2600.0.
