Question about Samsung TX-P2670WH 26" TV
Would definitely appreciate any info/help u could provide me...
My [CRT] HDTV at random times refuses to turn on [via remote or manually on the set] - some days it turns on w/no problem, some days I press the power switch and can actually hear the tube try to power up but does not successfully turn on.
When it DOES turn on, a musical tone can be heard upon start-up & the picture appears... when it does NOT turn on, I will only hear a sort of low, base-tone, "pop" sound. After one to a few days pass [I'll keep trying every once in awhile to turn it on] so far, it eventually does turn on.
Based on what u know/experienced, can my problem be fixed by simply replacing a part or two (diode-bridge, ic controller, trans flyback, etc.) ?
Thank you for your time!

Since the set works some of the time, I'd first look for poor connections. One thing to keep in mind is when the set does NOT work properly. does that occur more frequently with heat? cold? Humidity? If you can solder, first try resoldering any connecitons on the boards that appear grainy or have rings. If that does not resolve the problem, look for patterns for when the set fails. Those patterns will help to narrow down the possibilities.
Keep me posted,
