I bought and received my Timex Nutritional Manager. (Wed). I did as told, removed the plastic from battery, and set it. Or tried to. I reset it 4 or 5 times, and even took the battery out and put back in twice. Thought maybe dirty or dusty. It still will not hold the info. It is possible it is an old battery? Or should I send it back. I am so confused as to where to send it!
Tho it is a Timex, I bought it thru Amazon. And I think the company is Medport. Not even sure if you are affiliated with this! Timex Nutritional Manaer, # 80050

in between the stand rails is a removable piece of plastic with a sticker that contains the "nutritional information" about the monitor. If you remove/pry it off you will fine 4 screws that remove the monitor stand completely.
You should probably replace the battery using a new CR2016 battery. Let the watch set a while without the battery to help it reset. WR 100m just means the watch is "Water Resistant to 100 Meters". Then use the following info. Timex has two ways to find information about your particular watch. Some of these models only have a guide consisting of a few pages. If you don't have the manual, Try this link:
Now, look up the model number, or if you cannot find that, check the three-digit Module Number from the back of the watch. Click on it in the Module Table, and download a PDF of your watch setting-instructions/manual.
If you need further help, call Timex in Little Rock, Arkansas, phone 1-800-448-4639. I hope this helps you. Thanks, Bill
Depending on when you bought your Timex, you shouldn"t need a battery just yet, your Timex came with a good battery. Look under the stem (winder) for a small piece of plastic that is not allowing the stem to go all the way down, remove that piece of plastic and push the stem down and your Timex will start. Or if your Timex has buttons, look for a tab of plastic on the back cover, this tab of plastic is keeping the battery from (ground) a complete circuit remove this tab of plastic to start your Timex. Changeing the battery while fairly easy, you"d need jewelers screwdrivers and of course the new battery, Best Bet, look for a small watch repair shop in your area for the battery change.
mcdevito75 here, A brand new Timex quartz watch will come with a small piece of plastic just under the crown to keep the battery form working the watch, simply remove this small piece of plastic from under the stem (winder) push the stem in and your Timex will work. If your timex is push button you may have to hold down the Mode 2--3 seconds to see display.
If you lost the spring, I can't help. But repairs like this SHOULD be done carefully on a mat or table to help contain parts. My Timex watch made no sound after I changed the battery. I was unsure what the internal plastic sheet meant when it set something like short to reset. BUT, as shown elsewhere on this FixYa site, simply turning the back cover 180 degrees restored the sound, and the watch works great again!
I bought this for my son and he has been living with it for 4 months, and hour and ten min. off ! I just want to set the time, and I'm at the top of the world, no radio shack down the road. Turn right at the polar bear.
