Yeah, only a qualified or pro aircon tech can replace it. Also the evaporator coil needs to be check for leak. If your unit is still under warranty better call the manufacturer. Anyway, here's how aircon works:

Window air conditioners work on exactly the same principles as a refrigerator or dehumidifier. They have a cooling system that refrigerates the air entering the unit. The moisture in the air condenses on the cold coils and drips into the bottom tray of the air conditioner. The warm air in the room is drawn over the evaporator coil, which collect heat. The heat is conducted into a refrigerant gas. The gas is then circulated to the condensing coils on the back of the unit where it is dissipated to the outside.

This is usually caused by a failed component in the power circuit within the camera and can usually be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired qualified service technician.

No sound from zenith dvt412 stuck in bypass mode..how to override?

this is a protection circuit.
When bypass mode then it means that something in the power supply module has failed and the unit then goes into protection mode to protect the board components.
Your surround sound need service from a qualified tech. No other remedy.

When t.v. is turned on, black picture and no sound.

Usually when the fuse blows its due to a component being shorted and if you increase the rating of the fuse you can cause other components in the circuit to blow. The pop you hear was most like a capacitor on the D board. The D board is no longer available from sony as its listed as discontinued. You will most likely have to have a qualified sony service tech trouble shoot the circuits on the D board to locate the short as it will be outside the scope of a do it yourself type of repair

TV won't turn on.

The horizontal (line) deflection circuit appears to be at fault. This circuit is responsible for the generation of high voltage (tension) that also drives many of the secondary circuits such as the vertical drive, tuner and sound stages. While the main power supply itself is running, a failed secondary stage will give the symptom that you've mentioned. Replacing the line-output transistor is likely to solve the problem. However, this advice is given with the understanding that you are familiar with TV repair. Otherwise please refer servicing to a qualified tech.

Sony trinitron tv

If you have sound but no picture it means that your power supply and tuner are working correctly. The number of times the timer LED blinks is the code for the problem with the picture. The computer will stop the picture and blink the timer LED if the vertical circuit stops working, if the picture tube is too weak or if the horizontal sweep has stopped. The set should be serviced by a qualified tech familiar with Sony sets.
