My Star TSP600 Thermal Printer is displaying a flashing Error light. Power light on, new roll of paper loaded correctly, self-test was ineffective - nothing printed. What's my next step?

i know you stated you put the paper in correctlyin the printer but if the thermal reactive side of the paper is not facing the print head the thermal paper won't print on the wrong side of the paper. it will load into the printer and seem ok but the heat on the wrong side of the paper will not react and show any writing. Can you try turning the paper over in the printer feed holder so the other side of the paper faces the print head and give it another test .

HP LaserJet LJ 4350 locks up when duplexing

Symptom: Your LaserJet 4350 prints just fine until you try to print a double-sided page. Then you see the page start to exit, pull back in, then stop. The Data light continues flashing green, and the display reads, "Processing..." There is no error indication, but the machine won't print the second side and continues to hold the half-printed paper in the duplexer. If you open the top cover and close it again, the printer will eject the page, then try to print the whole thing again, unless you're quick enough to cancel the job first.

Cause: The printer is expecting a different sized paper than what it's running. Often it's not the menu settings, but a little lever in the paper tray itself. Pull out the paper tray you're trying to print from and look for a little blue lever on top of its right-hand side. The lever is labeled "Standard/Custom." Flip it to Standard (parallel to the tray side) and your problem should go away.

Why can't I print to my Ricoh Aficio SP C430DN from my Macbook Air?

You probably have a conflict between the paper size the machine knows is loaded and the document size being specified for printing on. Your Airbook is probably trying to send a document on a paper size the printer doesn't have. Net result is a document stored in the print queue that stops anything else being printed. Go full system reboot and clear out any and all waiting documents before trying again.

Ricoh SP C410dn Paper only prints 11cm and stops in the Bypass T

do not use ohp film in this device as it will jam due to the use of optical paper sensors unless your ohp has a paper backing. you can set up the bypass tray for thick paper type to increase fuser temp to get better fusing etc

C84 Wont print red

The printer colour cartridges are magenta, cyan and yellow. The printer prints "red" by mixing magenta and yellow ink. So, if you only get yellow when you print red, it means you aren't getting any magenta ink on the paper.

Have you tried a cleaning cycle? If not, try one (right click the little printer icon in the bottom right corner of the screen and select head clean). Now run a nozzle check (right click the little printer icon in the bottom right corner of the screen and select nozzle check). Is there any sign of magenta ink on the paper. Try up to three cleaning cycles. If ink is now flowing, but not yet perfectly, don't carry out any more cleaning cycles. Just leave the printer for 24 hours (to allow any air in the print head to disperse). Then repeat the cleaning cycle/wait process. It may take a while to restore a perfect nozzle check print.

If you have already done lots of head cleans with no result, are you sure you have a good magenta ink cartridge? To eliminate the possibility of a faulty cartridge, buy a new set of compatibles on E-Bay - they're very cheap. You can always re-use the old one later if it turns out it is OK.

If none of the above works, then you may have blocked magenta print head nozzles. You can try soaking the print heads for 24 hours (or more), as follows. Turn the printer on, and as soon as the print head moves out of its parking position, pull the power cord out of the back, or turn the printer off at the mains. You may now carefully move the print head by hand over to the left hand side out of the way. Look inside the print head parking area on the right and you will see a small rubber cup that comes up to cover the print nozzles when the head is parked (to stop it drying out). Use a syringe or dropper to fill this cup with head cleaning fluid or distilled water. DO NOT USE TAP WATER. Carefully push the print head by hand fully into its parking position so that the cup full of fluid
comes up over the print head. Do not turn the printer on at any stage in this process. Leave this for at least 24 hours, then turn the printer on and try a head clean/nozzle check again. If you get any magenta ink on the nozzle check, then there is hope! Repeat the process until you get a full magenta nozzle check. If nothing, repeat the process once more.

If still nothing, post a new comment detailing what you have done and the results.

My epson c84 wont print yellow

Providing you're SURE the yellow cartridge is good and properly installed (you did remove the yellow plastic strip from it didn't you), there is little doubt the yellow print nozzles are blocked with dried ink (after 5 years, I'm amazed they all aren't). Try up to 4 cleaning cycles and nozzle prints, if you haven't already. If there's any sign of yellow on the paper after this, leave for 24 hours and try again. Repeat this clean cycle - it could take a while to get it perfect.

If you still get no yellow after a couple of the above processes, you can try soaking the print heads for 24 hours (or more), as follows. Turn the printer on, and as soon as the print head moves out of its parking position, pull the power cord out of the back, or turn the printer off at the mains. Epson Stylus C84-brand new - will not print

When the green light flashes by itself, it means the printer is up to something e.g. doing a head clean. Once you have got the green light steady AND the ink light off AND the paper light off, you are ready to print. If you get nothing on the paper in this situation it simply means the ink is not getting from the cartridges to the paper. Before you go any further, it is ESSENTIAL to be sure you have a good set of ink cartridges. If you are not sure, fit a new set - you can always use the old set in due course when your printer is working properly.

Black streak on one side

Stop the print with a little practice, half to 3/4 of the way threw machine by opening door at right time. You want the paper to be jammed/stopped after the drum (has image on paper) but before fuser (print should still rub off)

fuser is blue green 300 thingy

If print is line less where stopped then mark is from fuser, replace

If print has line before fuser then it is drum/cartridge

..probally drum..need more info to know for sure, ie you say mark when faxing I guessing you mean receiving, what happens in copy mode is same as printing I'm assuming too
