I"ve installed online game in

The shield is indicating that Windows' "USER ACCOUNT CONTROL" will warn you about the content of the game because it came from the internet. It is just a warning that it could potentially cause harm to your computer if you don't know where it came from.

If the game doesn't open, (Assuming this is actually a User Account Control Issue) look for a blinking item in your task bar, it may be the User Account Control window showing you the warning. If you have administrative rights on the computer you can just enter a password (if you have one) and click OK to allow the game to play. If not, you need administrative rights on the computer.

To change the User Account Control settings, go to your CONTROL PANEL --> USERS and choose your login ID and in the window that opens you will see an option to "Change User Account Control settings"

Hope this helps.

CD drive and USB problems

sounds like a antivirus /firewall/antispyware configuration issue where the porogram will not alow access to removable media in an attempt to prevent viruses from entering your system.check the options and settings within any program mentioned above installed on this system.

the other thing it could be is directly related to the message given, you as a user dont have rights to access, install, read, write removable media and as such you need to change the rights given under that particular user or log in as someone with admin rights, ask the admin to change it.

E-machine T2984 will not start

looks like the connections in your system are loose.

just do this remove all the connections hdd,dvd other pci card or graphic cards.any other extra things other than motherboards own. donot connect the hdd or dvd.
then take out the ram and the battery on the motherboard. wait for a while then place the battery back and then insert the ram. place the smps connection to the motherboard and then power up the system.
you should now get the display and warnings that no bootable devices are found.

and check the bios settings after a successful display.
after that connect the devices one by one and check their detecting in the bios then you can keep all the extra cards.
this problem might be causing because of the bad CMOS checksum. just reset the bios through the jumper settings or remove the battery then the system will work fine

Mental problem/insufficiant tec knowledge

Video cards are definitely more for people who are into multimedia and video gaming.

The main reason to upgrade your video card is to take the graphical work that the computer does away from your main processor so it can do other things. Video cards are made up of two things, a processor and memory. So say you are watching a movie on your computer, and you dont have a seperate video card processor or video memory on your motherboard. When you play that movie, all the multimedia information must be processed through your processor and the data must be stored in your memory (RAM). This takes away from other things that your computer could be doing for you while you watch your movie. So by having this extra video card, you are able to run your multimedia information (such as games, pictures, or anything else that you see on the screen) much faster while the computer can focus on other things like running your word processor or your web browsing.

A more technical explination and history can be found here...

I hope this helped.

Lego Island

Older programs will sometimes not work with Vista. This is likely the reason that Lego Island 2 (a 2001 game) will work a opposed to Lego Island (a 1997 game). There are a few things that you can try, though:
  1. Right click the 'play game' icon and select 'Properties'
  2. Click the 'Compatibility' tab at the top of the window
  3. Click the 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:' box and select Windows XP or Windows 98/Window ME (you can try another later if one doesn't work)
  4. Make sure that the 'Run this program as an administrator' box is selected.
  5. Click 'OK' and close the window
Give the icon the good ol' double click and see if she works. There's no guarantees that this will work with Vista since it is an older program, but this is where I would start.

I hope this helps!
