Question about Motorola Mobility V330

Retrieving data from v330 with no screen

I've had a v330 for 3 yrs.. Great phone. Finally broke it. I have no visual display but I need to get the info off the v330 to put into my new phone. Phone tools won't recognize the phone anymore. The manual won't tell me which buttons to push to turn on blue tooth or save to simm card. If someone could tell me where to go for a walkthrough or a visual manual it would be greatly appreciated. A step by step specific button push sequence is what I need. Many very important phone numbers needed.
Thanks in advance for any help,

I) send out to a cell phone repair and they will print out contacts., will cost u $25-$50.

ii) hook up bluetooth to your pc (check your manual or one online) and download the numbers. this is pretty tough without see stuff on the screen, imho.

iii) check manual (online or yours) to save all contacts, at least as many as possible onto your sim card.

this actually just happened to me a week ago, but i have a backup prepaid v300, so i can put my sim in there for contacts. good luck!

I've received a mms message and my screen say MMS retrieval failed, how can read this message?

This often has to do with a network error, or your phone its self. The best solutions are as follows.

  1. Turn your phone off and turn it back on and attempt to retrieve the message again.
  2. If that fails, ask the sender to resend the message.
If the above solutions do not work you might need to consult with your wireless provider.

I ve actually replaced my sk3 flip screen and still broke

i've replaced my flip for my sidekicks all the time..make sure that the screws are tightly in place..or maybe the film under the screen has been damaged, rubbed, smired or ripped this will stop the phone from displaying anything.

Need some help to backup my phone

You will have to get the phone repaired in any case. So why not get it repaired first and then worry about retrieving the data. Tell Nokia Care all your requirements. Otherwise it is a very tall order. You will have to have your user guide opened on the page required. Switch the phone off. Switch it on andfollow the user guide. Beware, that one wrong move could send your data to an unknown destination. make a choice.

Retrieving data, broken screen

The Phone needs a new Keypad flex and most likely a left hinge pin. When the phone is open, the cable runs through the left side of the hinge. It is very common for the hinge pin to become chipped and put a small cut in the Flex Cable.
You can get the parts on ebay. search for motorola v3 keypad flex, and motorola v3 hinge, or knuckle.

Contact service provider when sim card inserted

PUK means "personal unlocking key" .

The PUK code is asked if you enter a wrong pin 3 times.

You need to call your phone service company, they can retrieve the puk code from a database
for free.

In your case you need to contact your SIM card phone provider technical support to unlock the SIM.

thank you,

I have a Motorola V365 phone. The phone was dropped several months back and broke a portion of the cover that holds the hinge in place on the flip portion. The phone has continued to work fine. This past...

Your best bet is to take it to your cell phone service provider to see if they can retrieve that information. If you are on Verizon, they offer the backup assistant to retain information like this and to be able to transfer that information onto other replacement phones. The memory in your phone is probably OK and that is where your contact information is located so they should be able to recover that. The small ribbon cable that broke provides power and data to the display and should not affect your stored data. If that cable has a short across it, it may impact your ability to get your data on your own.. Good Luck

Retrieving pictures without screen to album or sims

Hi!  I currently have a similar problem with my V330.  In the past, all I had to do was download Mobile Phone Tools (you can Google it), purchase a USB cable for the V330 from eBay, and connect to the phone through the computer.  I don't know what the exact issue is, but sometimes I was successful in downloading/uploading pictures, while other times I was not.  In any case, it's worth a shot!  You may have to select the V300 in the program, which should still work.
