Evey time I start to sew, my tread keeps breaking at the needle

IT CAN BE THE TENTION SCREW ON THE BOBBIN CASE SOME TIMES THE BOBBIN SCREW CAN LOOSEN SO WHAT HAPPENS THE THREAD GET TANGLE UP IN THE BOBBIN CASE AND THAT BECOMES A PROBLEM 1-YOU CAN TRY AND TURN THE SCREW IN THE BOBBIN CASE TO YOUR RIGHT JUST A LITTLE FROCTION EACH TIME YOU DO THAT TRY SEWING SEE IF THERES ANY CHANGES 2-MAKE SURE YOU TREAD THE SEWING MACHINE RIGHT AND CHECK THE POSITION OF YOUR NEEDLE SEE IF IS SET CORECT CAUSE IF THE NEEDLE IS NOT SET RIGHT THAT CAN ALSO BE THE PROBLEM OR MAYBE WRONG NEEDLE. REMINDER START 1- CHECK NEEDLE 2-CHECK SEE THAT THE SEWING MACHINE IS TREADED RIGHT 3-THEN TRY THE SCREW ON THE BOBBIN CASE 4-CHECK SEE IF THE SEWING MACHINE NEEDS OIL.

I assume it's the top thread that's breaking. Horizontal spool... be sure spool cap is larger than spool. Breaking thread? Presumably the top thread? AVOID old or bargain bin threads. The upper tension is too tight or the thread is not properly seated in the tension disk, the needle is defective or the needle, needle eye/scarf is not the best choice for the fabric/thread being used, there may be a snag in the bobbin area that is catching the thread. Make sure the thread is not catching on the spool's thread notch.

3. The needle is bent or blunt
4. The needle is incorrectly inserted
5. The needle thread & the bobbin thread are not set under the presser foot when starting to sew
6. the threads were not drawn to the rear after sewing
7. The thread is either to heavy or to fine for the needle

If the thread breaks at the needle and is feeding smoothly from the spool, you may have the tension too high. It is impossible to say what the setting should be because the knob rotates all the way around several times. Loosen it off until you see needle thread pull to the back of the quilt, then tighten until it just balances the interlocking of the stitch in the fabric. Test with little swirls, that's most likely to pull needle thread to back.Also, check that the needle is properly installed and that the hook to needle timing and clearance are good.Nesting of thread underneath usually happens if the foot lifter is left up or the tread is not fully in the disks of the tension unit.

When you sew any thick material on any machine the needle cannot form the loop properly as the needle comes up because the material is keep the tread tight to the needle, the only real way round it is to sew slowly.

The tread only breaks in the needle. what can i do . i don't get to sew anything . I tread the needle and get everything ready and start the machine and as quickly as that the tread is broken and the machine has not sewn at all.

Make sure you sink the needle into the fabric before starting to sew. If that isn't it...remove the thread and rethread the machine. Make sure the thread isn't wrapped around the spool holder.

when this happens to me (the needle breaking) I make it a thing to do and that is to use a qtip with a bit of oil and clean the bobbin holder and then use canned air and blow out the lint from area and this may help you. You may have a tiny tiny piece of needle left in the holder and this will play havoc with any kind of sewing machine. I have suffered through it many times before I made this a practice when needle breaks
